Former CNN president tried to poach Keith Olbermann from MSNBC
CNN’s former president not only had nice things to say about Fox News today. He also reserved some praise for MSNBC. In an interview with HuffPost Live, Jon Klein spoke publicly for the first time about his attempt to get Keith Olbermann to move from MSNBC to CNN shortly after he took over the network.
Klein said that if he had been successful, “it would have made things a lot more difficult for MSNBC, because he was the only thing that was really working at the time.” He went on to explain that it was through Olbermann’s show that MSNBC discovered Rachel Maddow, who is now regularly their highest-rated anchor. While true, it is also true that MSNBC’s ratings have only increased since Olbermann’s departure.

LOL. Makes perfect sense. CNN execs clearly have their finger on the pulse of America. They know what people want to watch. That’s why so many of CNN’s shows are so highly rated . . . .

I fully expect America to find Olby some marginal position to fill, say like U.S. Senator or Secretary of State.

I thought CNN had their pompous jackass quotient filled with Piers Morgan.

I will only watch anything CNN when it is forced upon me, like at the airport.
I don’t watch any TV news. It’s all hyped up crap.

Reminds me of what people say about resentment; it’s like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
