at the completion of these 3 steps a stretch your arms towards the ceiling at a 45 degree angle and let out a decent shriek.

Hangover 101:

1. Alcohol Source: drinking vodka all night will give decidedly different intoxicant results than drinking cheap beer all night. For decades, everyone I’ve ever encountered in a high-priced job who has to gulp as part of the drill has gone with the clear alcohol liquors.

2. The drink quaintly called the “Bloody Mary” can be an anti-hangover asset-simply by removing the booze, and also by drinking the non-booze version after you’ve finished the Adult Beverages for the night, before you go to bed/pass out. Add extra horseradish, which is reputed to help the liver.

3. Eat while drinking. It’s what the French do, and they do it with wine and cheese.

Well-intentioned doctors and scientists are (usually) unintentionally removing or partially negating the penalties for irresponsible behavior. The result has been people going crazy with said behavior, counting on this new drug or that new treatment if they get unlucky, and it has absolutely devastated our culture.

IMHO it is time for the field of medicine to stand aside in some areas and let people experience the natural consequences of their foolishness full-bore.
