Newtown sides with NRA, votes for armed guards in schools
The current push for gun controls by The State and its media, is nothing more than another front in the relentless culture wars against Red State Americans and Bitter Clingers. None of the proposed laws would’ve stopped the Sandy Hook murderer, which should tell you everything you need to know.
Meanwhile, in the Democrat-run Chicago, there’s a Newtown every month. But the only solution to that problem would be admitting harsh gun control laws and liberalism run amok have failed. So the media would prefer Chicago’s monthly Sandy Hook goes on than ever admit to such an inconvenient truth.
The NRA proposed putting armed guns in schools, and now the school board closest to this tragedy agrees.

Well, since the MSM has delegated Absolute Moral Authority to the residents of Newtown inre gun laws, I guess that’s that.

Troll-free thread?
Folks seem to forget that even though it’s in one of the Bluest of states, Newtown isn’t really Blue. In fact, the November 2012 election was basically a 50-50 tie there between Dear Leader and Romney.
Del Dolemonte on February 1, 2013 at 2:12 PM
At least they didn’t say magazine-clips or bullets per chamber.

Leftist brown shirts hardest hit.

“Armed guards” sounds so ominous. If someone suggested paying to have two policeman at a school, it would have a much different connotation than “armed guards”. Though police might be better trained, the two things are substantially the same thing. People who gasp at “armed guards” would be fine with “police”.

Smart.

Wasn’t it James Carville who said ’3 in the chamber is enough’ ? LOL!

A good sign of progress.
Hopefully the teachers will be armed as well.

Where’s the thread covering the school shooting yesterday in Atlanta? You know, the one where the shooter was stopped by the ARMED school security guard?
gatorboy on February 1, 2013 at 2:48 PM
It takes at least one dead to count as a ‘mass’ shooting.

Yup, right after all the pants wetting has been done, and right before he yells at the parents over and over “DO YOU WANT A TANK?”

Because when it comes right down to it, you cannot rely exclusively on feel-good actions that accomplish absolutely nothing.

Why doesn’t the cartoon have the bayonet/grenade launcher mount?
besser tot als rot on February 1, 2013 at 3:39 PM
You can’t use a bayonet on a rifle with a turbo charger! duh!

Push comes to shove, Newton opts for a solution that will work.
Newton choose the Dirty Harry option over the Neville Chamberlain option.
Smart.
