The case against Hillary Clinton’s “greatness”
On Sunday, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said the case that Hillary Clinton has been a “great” secretary of state is “exceedingly weak.” This could be dismissed as mere right-wing dissent, but Hume is not alone. The New Yorker’s John Cassidy similarly argues today that Clinton is a “great ambassador, not a great secretary of state.”
Both Hume and Cassidy acknowledge that Clinton wasn’t exactly given the room for “greatness.” She was meant instead to be “a rockstar diplomat,” as Stephen Walt, a professor of international relations at Harvard, wrote in the Times Magazine, and she achieved that.
“The fact that Hillary didn’t bring peace to Palestine, or redefine the relationship between the United States and China, doesn’t mean she was a failure,” Cassidy writes. “Far from it. In carrying out the task she was allotted, she was a big success. It’s just that the nature of her job was very different from the ones that Acheson and Kissinger held. In reality, she wasn’t directing American foreign policy, or anything close. At times, she wasn’t even the Administration’s chief troubleshooter—a niche occupied by a series of special envoys: Richard Holbrooke, George Mitchell, and Dennis Ross. The post she really had was that of U.S. Ambassador to the world, and she made a pretty good fist of it.”

Shot at by a sniper. The lying b!tch should be strung up and dangling from the gallows as a traitor. Now that would be great.

I can see Hillary doing a Frau Farbissina imitation and screaming “Lies! Brit Hume Lies!”

She’s a legend in her own mind and that of the fawning MSM.

So she was just a show pony. Kind of hard to be great when your job is to smile for the cameras.

The case isn’t even ‘exceedingly weak’ because it doesn’t exist. The title has just been conferred upon her by Democrats without one shred of evidence as to why she deserves it. It’s self-defeating to argue against a case that hasn’t been made. The assertion should be dismissed as hyperbole until we see some supporting evidence.

I’m just thinking about the children, that’s all.

She’s not to be tainted in the least by Benghazi? Give me a break!
I like to watch true crime stories. There’s one where a wife apparently fell down the stairs, found dead at the bottom. She’s wearing these sandals, and when the police come, the husband is crying and raving about those “damn sandals” he told her not to wear, that made her trip and fall down the stairs. Turns out he killed her and staged the scene.
I mention this because it reminds me of Hillary in front of the casket of our dead Libyan ambassador, talking about her “friend”, and railing on about the YouTube video and how it got him killed. The lady dost protest too much methinks. How about, she’s responsible for security, and his death, and it had nothing to do with a YouTube video.

Low IQs in ample evidence as this parade of brain-dead comments from the Democrats at Politico will attest to!
First of all, when you can’t list Hillary’s “accomplishments” as SOS, you go Alisnky, and simply shoot the messenger:
Then there is the Senior Circuit:
But there are still plenty of drones who think she’s perfectly qualified:
And yet, there are some rare voices of sanity posting there:
And my personal favorite, from a Mole at State:

The middle east is worse of because of her actions.

She was also put in a position which pretty much neutered her for any anti-BO rhetoric or running in 2012 for his job. Basically BO cut her presidential bid building off at the knees by making her one of his.

She’s a complete fraud and was handed every single government position she ever held. Never held elected office, but is given a carpetbagger sinecure in the form of Moynihan’s senate seat. Pushed as a viable presidential candidate a few years later because Bubba was president, so that must automatically mean she knows how to “president,” too.
It’s beyond obvious that her “greatness” stems only from her connection (marriage isn’t the right word) to Bill Clinton, whom millions of people have lied to themselves as being “great” himself. The only thing I will give her is that she does serviceable impression of Lady MacBeth. Her doctors may have treated a blood clot, but they nor anyone else will ever get out that Damned Spot.

Gotta love the Dems shrugging and saying, “Who knew?” about the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt. I and many casual observers knew–and knew in advance–and we don’t get paid to know. Hillary Clinton is an abject failure, and to suggest otherwise requires the “willing suspension of disbelief.”

Details aside, I look at our stature in the world and our relations with other countries and ask if we’re better off now than we were four years ago. The answer is a resounding “No!” We’ve pissed off many of our friends, the ones we have left are weaker than before, our new “friends” are busy figuring out ways to mess up our economy, or blow up our people and stuff, or both, and our enemies are encouraged and expanding their influence. Hillary can make all the excuses she wants, but the bottom line is that we’ve slid backwards under her leadership and she owns it.
