It's like they say: home is where the heart is. But here's the other thing to note from that same quote:

operative who has long pushed for a more immigrant-friendly GOP.

Strategists are supposed to take a given agenda and find the best way to sell that agenda. The problem with GOP strategists is that they're Democrats who think they're there to set the agenda.

That statement right there is worthy of both an ass kickin and actually not voting at all.

The GOP is just finishing off their suicide attempt of 2006-2008. The Weeping Boner and GOP Senators started this off by spitting in the face of the Tea Party right after the 2010 elections (starting with that criminal lame duck session for which GOP Senators colluded with treasonous dems to make a mockery of Congress and continuing on with the Weeping Boner’s failures to represent anything conservative … but to “understand” the Occupoopers, who didn’t even understand themselves). This new push for amnesty and treasonous printing of citizenships for illegals who spit on the idea of American sovereignty should pretty much finish up the end of the GOP.

You can’t stop a political party from committing suicide when its leadership has made its mind up. The GOP is done.

That’s the epitome of elitist Republican thought about it’s conservative base. It’s time to move on to a different/new party. I’ve already dropped my party affiliation. I’m done being treated like a patsy.

There is both a Libertarian and now an Objectivist Party on the ballet in Florida. Maybe there will be something a little more sane in 3 years, like a Tea Party candidate. Either way, I voted for Romney last year, but he's the last Republican presidential candidate that I will ever vote for.

For good reason we are upset as the GOP has never been the party pushing amnesty, even if it’s rebranded as earn-esty!

Probably a goo 80% of those that are Republicans are progressive politicians. Thanks conservative voters for not pushing them out of office. Thus, they want a super majority of Americans to be progressive so that they can do the progressive things they want and still hold onto power. So they are individually lining up to create a new block of voters to allow them to be immune to the conservative causes.
