“Lindsey said ‘the band is back together!’”
Graham informed Schumer that McCain was on board as well.
“My heart went pitter patter,” Schumer said. “That meant we could get something done.”
“The hope is late spring, early summer,” for the bill to go to the floor, Schumer said.
“We will have to take some tough votes to keep it intact,” McCain said…
“We’re not seeking 100 votes, we are seeking 80 votes,” McCain said.

Anyone else thought this was about Fleetwood Mac?
DethMetalCookieMonst on January 30, 2013 at 1:22 PM
You beat me to it.

Lindsey plays the flute.
Oil Can on January 30, 2013 at 1:24 PM
Either way, does anybody really care?
Last time I saw Fleetwood Mac was the early ninety’s. Kind over over their sell by date even back then. Though that still puts them far better than most current music.
As for the other, not even that good.

Enjoy it while it lasts, Grahamnesty. You’re up for reelection next year and conservatives have a long memory.

I went back even further. Paul Revere and the Raiders, until I remembered that Mark Lindsay spells his name differently.

Nine Inch Nails came to mind:
“Bow down before the ones you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve.”
(Congress saying that to America, in case there was any shred of doubt).

Why were any of these nitwits reelected?
tom daschle concerned on January 30, 2013 at 1:28 PM
I think Lindsey thinks he’s Superman(woman) because Tim Scott has to run in a special election in 2014 and they won’t find a real conservative to go up against him (Graham).
TxAnn56 on January 30, 2013 at 1:29 PM
Dude. I thought it was bout Lindsay Lohan. lol
tommy71 on January 30, 2013 at 1:30 PM
Maybe they’ll give him a pass, but South Carolina is a pretty solid Republican state. That’s one of the few places the Tea Party can primary him and not worry about losing the seat with a more conservative candidate(assuming he or she avoids any comments about rape and abortion).

“We’re on a mission from God.”

Well, sure. When your goal is to destroy America, who best to help you achieve that goal but people who have driven their own companies into the ground?
UltimateBob on January 30, 2013 at 1:37 PM
Sorry, wrong thread…..
UltimateBob on January 30, 2013 at 1:37 PM
I also thought it might be Fleetwood Mac when I saw the title, but deep down I knew that this Lindsey was going to be a girl.
steebo77 on January 30, 2013 at 1:46 PM
No worries, it actually works here as well. Just substitute party for companies.

The despicable media whore Shumer should be universally shunned.
Anyone who conspires with him deserves the same.
novaculus on January 30, 2013 at 1:54 PM
Is he over his tiff about what’s-her-name lip-synching? Why, that could have tarnished his emcee gig.
Seriously, have you noticed he’s been everywhere lately?

Chuck Schumer getting excited about getting something done should send red flags up to any Republican involved. But then you realize it’s McCain and Graham…

And get this. Remember how livid Rush Limbaugh was over all of this in 2006-2007? He’ll be totally on board this go-round. For the same friggin’ thing.

YES … ME!!
And I’m damned pi$$ed off at HotAir for getting me excited for nothing – I thought maybe Christine McVie had rejoined.
