Does female housework make men less sexy?
Men who do more household chores typically viewed as feminine — like cleaning, cooking and washing — have less sex than men who don’t, according to a new study.
The findings, published today (Jan. 30), in the February issue of the journal American Sociological Review, are correlational, so they can’t say whether dishwashing actually makes men less sexy.
But the trend jibes with other research showing that egalitarian marriages, though happier, are less likely to have that sexual frisson, said Pepper Schwartz, a sociologist at the University of Washington and the author of “The Normal Bar: The Surprising Secrets of Happy Couples and What They Reveal About Creating a New Normal in Your Relationship” (Harmony, February 2013.)

Never listen to what a woman says she wants.
Pay attention to what they do.

So since I’m single and live alone I’m less sexy because I do my own cooking, cleaning and washing? And here I thought it made me independent.
That they identified those chores as “feminine” tells you all you need to know about the study. Mainly, it’s a bunch of crap.

My theory: men only do housework when there aren’t women around.

Quite often not helping with house work could result in no sex.

The secret is to make the sex so fantastic that she is only too glad to do all the housework – just out of sheer gratitude.
Oops, did i just say that out loud?

What ever, when she decides to go to work for 40 hours a week, we can SHARE the house chores.

What is “female housework”? If a man lives alone, doesn’t he have to do all that stuff by himself?

How many bachelors do you know?

I’ve told my husband that the first part of seduction involves the mind. If I’m feeling treated like a glorified indentured servant…he ain’t gonna get very far.

Unless he wants his apartment to look like a college freshman’s dorm room. But a whole lotta men are apparently okay with that, and often as not nothing changes until a female is in the picture. Frankly I find that rather discouraging.
“Female housework” is a bunch of curiously-convenient excuses. It will not make your b@lls shrink to wash the freaking dishes so that your countertop isn’t full of plates that could be mistaken for oversized petri dishes complete with cultures. You won’t suffer estrogen poisoning from sweeping a kitchen floor that, when your house guest (me) walks across it, makes crunching sounds underfoot to the point you think you’re walking over a bag of Cheetos.

lol, I work 40 hours a week, with an hour drive there and back three times a week. I still do all the housework.

I believe the Ray Ramon schtick where anytime he helped around the house or with the kids his wife became sexually aroused. Poor Ray could never get the connection though.

My husband owns a small business, I work 12-hour shifts.
He has more time at home, I’m pretty much gone for three solid days.
When I’m off work, I cook enough for him to eat while I’m on my working days.
He does all the laundry and cleaning.
Last year, he won a master’s division in the CrossFit Games.
He’s a stud and all’s in working order, I’ll tell ya that.
