Al Gore: Our political ideology is in our DNA
“I think, first of all, scientists now know that there is, in human nature, a divide between what we sometimes call ‘liberals’ and ‘conservatives,’” Gore said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “And it gives an advantage, you can speculate, to the human species to have some people who are temperamentally inclined to try to change the future, experiment with new things, and others who are temperamentally inclined to say, ‘Wait a minute, not too fast, let’s make sure we don’t do anything rash here.’”
But Gore, now a climate change activist, said that when those “natural tendencies” combine with political or religious ideology, they can “get out of hand.”

Personally, I think it has more to do with the difference between getting pregnant the normal way, and getting pregnant the anal way.

Says a man whose father voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and who wanted to nuke a strip through the middle of Korea to enforce the truce, and whose son is an all-time stoner.
So yeah, some great political DNA there.

By the way, my comment is the short version of this joke I heard:
A woman goes to her doctor and says, “My husband wants to have anal sex. I wanted to check with you first to see if it’s unhealthy or dangerous.”
The doctor says, “Well, as long as you’re okay with it, then it should be fine. Just make sure you don’t get pregnant.”
The lady says, “Pregnant? You can get pregnant from anal sex?”
The doctor says, “Sure. Where do you think people like Nancy Pelosi come from?”

Our forefathers that risked all to come and start this nation weren’t progressives. Being a risk taker and being a progressive are not synonyms. A dim bulb if there ever was one.

This is actually great news.
This means that liberal have to treat conservatives with the same deference they treat gays.
gwelf on January 30, 2013 at 2:55 PM
It only makes sense if the Liberal genes are being sodomized by the gay genes.

Yes, such things like that might prevent someone who spent the last decade screaming about global warming from selling his network to a news organization primarily paid for with petro-dollars for big bucks.

Born dishonest? Kinda like original sin? Is Al Gore going to see the light?

This whole theory is covered in complete detail by “Anonymous Conservative” both on the blog and in the book “The Evolutionary Psychology Behind Politics: How Conservatism and Liberalism Evolved Within Humans”.
Conservatives will like it (although at $25 for the paperback, it’s kinda pricey) and Liberals will do what they usually do when presented with facts: either ignore them, or explode in irrational rage.
Anyway, if you’ve ever wondered if there’s a biological basis for political leaning, or why people get more conservative as they grow older, or why an event like getting robbed can suddenly make someone become conservative (prime example: Dennis Miller after 9/11), or wondered how conservatives can be pro-competition yet simultaneously more altruistic (amount given to charity) and more patriotic (favoritism to in-group) — this book explains that.
