Not as dumb as it looks. Hillary was unelectable in 2008, this is why 0bama was brought in to knock her off the top of the ticket. None of the factors making her unelectable in 2008 are likely to go away for 2016. Make her ineluctable and unelectable.

Shunp So you personally know Ryan and he told you what his 2016 plans are? I’d frankly love to have a Ryan presidency… It would be good for the country and annoy Obama…But I’m not sure he is going to run.

Anyone who is already being talked about as a potential frontrunner for 2016, but claims that they haven’t even thought about it, is lying. Period. Rule of thumb: Anytime a politician’s answer includes the boilerplate response about being focused on their current job rather than thinking about future elections, they’re lying. A politician’s entire career is built on thinking about the next election.

This. Ryan’s jabs now are weak sauce. The campaign was the time to do it. It won’t have the affect he thinks it will have.

That’s just it. He’s saying to 0bama, “You suck! In fact, you suck so bad that this person over here (Hillary) who also sucks doesn’t suck as bad as you do!”

No he’s not. Ryan had plenty of time to attack Obama tell him how much he sucked when he was the VP nominee, but Ryan didn’t want to do it then. Ryan’s now saying “A Marxist who wrote a thesis entiled “There Is Only the Fight . . . “: An Analysis of the Alinsky Model who campaigned on single payer healthcare and socialism would have ” have fixed this fiscal mess by now.”

Ryan and Obama have a personal distaste for each other, so this is Ryan expressing his true feelings, not some Machiavellian political manuever. Their continued utter disdain for each other is actually one of the most fun Washington side stories.
