Let’s face it, the nomination is Hillary’s if she wants it
It is a stand-out record, one that makes her the equal of the likes of James Baker, George Schultz or Henry Kissinger among our leading modern secretaries of state. What is more, she achieved her success by promoting a more humanist international agenda than her peers at the first ranks of American foreign policy leaders. At the same time, she maintained a centrist course more comfortable with the appropriate use of force than many of her more liberal colleagues in the Obama administration. Maintaining such a balance requires exceptional skill. To do so for four years under the conditions she faced is among the reasons she is so widely admired.
Hillary Clinton is likely to be the next Democratic presidential nominee because she is the best-known active Democratic politician, because she has repeatedly triumphed over adversity, because she has made herself well-liked at a time that politicians are typically viewed with contempt.
But she is likely to be the next president, the first woman to be president of the United States, because of the quality of her character and her work on behalf of the American people. With some luck she will use the next two years to restore her energy and prepare for what lies ahead. Because regardless of what political party in which you may find yourself, it is hard to deny that she elevates our political discourse in ways that few, if any, others do on the contemporary stage.

Uh, no. And I still say she has health problems that they are hiding from the public.

Yep, screaming “what difference does it make!” during a Congressional investigation into the deaths of 4 Americans including an ambassador is “elevating” the discourse.
Killary is a lock for the nomination because liberals will would vote for Charles Manson if he had a “D” after his name.

So is CNN’s. Lost me right there.

One more time, can one of our Leftist Hillary Fluffers here tell me what her “qualifications” were to be the Junior Senator from a State she had never lived in, much less Secretary of State?
Del Dolemonte on January 28, 2013 at 10:11 AM
It does stand out, but not for the right reasons.
But it won’t be her record of failure that holds her back. It’ll be the physical frailty.

Every single thing she did turned to crap. This is truly the end. Up is down. Black is white. As much as liberals claimed Bush alienated us from friends and allies, it has really happened under this administration. Every single square mile on this planet is in worse shape than it was 4 years ago and with that Shrillary the Butcher of Benghazi is proclaimed to be a great Sec of State.

She’s not in great health now and she’ll be 69 in 2016.
Blake on January 28, 2013 at 10:13 AM
The nomination is her’s if she wants it, no argument there. But she still has to run for President. The media will bow before her and the Democrat base will obviously support her. But she’s not totally immune from what transpires during Obama’s 2nd term. If it’s as bad economically as the first(or even worse), that will hurt Hillary’s chances in 2016.
And also, she’s as skilled a politician as Obama. He’s thin-skinned, but he’s also good at hiding it or downplaying it. Sen. Johnson showed last week how easy it is to rattle Hillary and get her out of her comfort zone.

Don’t think that one holds up considering who’s in the White House and how opposition to him is racist.

Sure sure. Double down on stupid. It’s working out so well after all.

So, do the rebubs run McCain or Romney against her?

No, wait. They can run a new guy. His name is… Romney McDole.

Watch she will disappear for 6 months as the plastic surgerns try to reserve 65 years of battle damage.

Tell me about it. Right now CNN is trying to get their viewer(s) engaged on “What is killing the Tea Party.” I and I’m quite sure plenty other people who identify with the movement would love to respond if we weren’t busy with having jobs….

Remind me again, when did they engage in a leadership failure that led to the preventable deaths of multiple Americans abroad, and then lie about it to Congress? Oh yeah…

Deja vu. The nomination was Hillary’s last time and she bombed. She’s a lousy candidate and need serious propping up. Only with propaganda and the enabling of the SRM will she “win” the Democrat nomination.

Hill isn’t happening.
She got out of the way for Obama. Who then gifted her with a Sec gig, so she could be a big shot. But, her POTUS window has closed. No matter how hard the media try to pull her through it.
The lesbian Senator from Wisconsin has the Dem nom in 2016 if she wants it. The media trembles all over at the prospect of new historicness.
Moesart on January 28, 2013 at 10:55 AM
Right. Just like last time.
SuperBunny on January 28, 2013 at 11:37 AM
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Just give her the damn nomination she’s entitled to and shut up.
Kensington on January 28, 2013 at 12:35 PM
Good grief! Spare us another one of these empty suits in the Senate.
Kensington on January 28, 2013 at 12:36 PM
I disagree. If Obama’s black supremacist pastor had surfaced earlier, she’d have captured the nomination and the presidency. Obama was wounded, but she was already too far behind to catch up.
In 2016, expect all her skeletons to be buried under the “first woman” media hype. I’ll say right now her only obstacles to the presidency are her health and how much of disaster Obama’s second term is. Both are serious questions.
The media, to a large extent, will be able to create a favorable narrative for her like they did for President Urkel, and they’ll be able to mostly disassociate her from his disastrous 2nd term. That mostly leaves her health.
