Chuck Schumer to Beyonce: How about apologizing for lip-syncing at the inauguration?
The New York senator angrily admitted yesterday that the pop queen has not called him to say sorry after she turned last week’s inaugural bash into an unexpected Milli Vanilli concert by lip-syncing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“I have not heard from her before, during or after,” a testy Schumer told The Post after he was asked if Beyoncé had called him to give a musical mea culpa. “She did not talk to me at all. I didn’t say any words to her, period.”…
“Sen. Schumer promised Beyoncé, but he delivered Milli Vanilli instead,” quipped one Republican congressional aide last week.

She has nothing to apologize for, it was her voice. This man has his priorities screwed up but we already know that.

Grandstanding douchebag.
In other news, US is $16 trillion in debt.

Hey, Chuck, how about apologizing to the American people for being such a power-mad scumbag?

Everybody wants an apology nowadays.

This coming from the Milli Vanilli party. And the frauds will eventually drive the country to suicide as well.

As a musician lip syncing is a no no. She’s a phony but what do I care? Her faking it perfectly exemplifies the democrat party. The party of Frauds.
jawkneemusic on January 28, 2013 at 2:36 PM
Shut up and lip-sync.

Obama can apologize for the next 4 years while they’re at it.
Chuck Schick on January 28, 2013 at 2:36 PM
What was wrong with her singing? I don’t know what “La Fway” means, but there’s no need to apologize for it.
Doughboy on January 28, 2013 at 2:39 PM
I’m no fan of Beyonce, but if Chuck Schumer demanded an apology out of Hell, I’d have to find some nice words to say about Ted Kennedy. Or something.
Besides, I think it was fitting… a faked national anthem for an empty phony of a President.

Chuck Schumer has never missed an opportunity or a microphone, or a camera….just upchuck and go away…please.

Maybe on Sunday we could all just watch clips of great moments in football history.
Ronnie on January 28, 2013 at 2:55 PM
I would agree if this was a paid show but it wasn’t and the acoustics and the venue can’t be counted on. Apparently even the Marine band pre-records. And Shumer has a lot of nerves to gripe about much but especially this. Did he lose a upcoming MC gig over it?
Cindy Munford on January 28, 2013 at 2:58 PM
It’s not the same.

And we’re approaching 5 years since the United States Senate has passed a budget.
UltimateBob on January 28, 2013 at 3:04 PM
Clearly, but Barry sat in a controlled environment. It could have been the same.
Ronnie on January 28, 2013 at 3:04 PM
Well at least she didn’t have sex with child hookers like some senators. And how dare Schumer be so impertinent to such a big Dem fundraiser?
juliesa on January 28, 2013 at 3:04 PM
What a racist! Wonder if Beyonce was wearing a wig too?

I could be wrong but where she sang and he took the Oath of Office did not appear to be climate controlled or acoustically controlled. Where he watched the parade was.
Cindy Munford on January 28, 2013 at 3:15 PM
You should read up on why she had to lip-sync. (It wasn’t the environment)

Far be it from me to defend this grandstanding jerk, but this is a fabricated story. Schumer was deliciously embarrassed, but wouldn’t have said a thing if he wasn’t asked. Moreover, nowhere in the story does Schumer actually ask for an apology. The NY Post is advancing this meme all by themselves in the fine tabloid tradition of the only conservative leaning news outlet in NY.
RadClown on January 28, 2013 at 3:28 PM
You obviously care much more about this than I do. I’m sorry you were bothered by it. Shumer is still an ass.
Cindy Munford on January 28, 2013 at 3:31 PM
Well, that took a childish turn.
Ronnie on January 28, 2013 at 3:35 PM
Yes, Shumer is an ass. And, yes, singers who lip synch their live performances are phonies. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Shump on January 28, 2013 at 3:54 PM
I am sorry you took it that way, it truly wasn’t what I intended. It was meant to be an agree to disagree comment.
Cindy Munford on January 28, 2013 at 3:56 PM
LOL! That’s true enough but if I were to classify her as a phony (and I actually don’t know enough about her to do that) it would have to be based on more than this one incident. I usually look on the bright side and assume that her rendition was very important to her and she was going to reduce the variables of things that could go wrong.
