Video: “We need to hire grown-ups to cover the president”
Powers then stated that she couldn’t imagine Fox News Channel reporter Brit Hume “saying something like this about any president that he has covered. It really is beyond the pale.”

Dr. Goebbels could only dream of such a media.

The Affirmative Action President gets a pass. What’s the surprise?

Actually it’s the opposite. They need to replace the press with fawning padget children like honey boo boo. That’s his maturity level.

Attention, FNC. Now that you have Jedediah Bila as a contributor, why not pair her with Kirsten Powers for some program so that we have a really smart, pretty liberal woman and a really smart, pretty conservative woman on TV together?
radjah shelduck on January 27, 2013 at 10:16 AM
Wouldn’t our time be better spent creating an actual conservative channel? Fox ain’t it.

(Above-emphasis mine)
I don’t usually associate liberalism with intellect, but I’ll grant you Powers is pretty. I tend to associate liberalism with shrill stupid harpies like Bella Abzug and Dianne Feinstein. YMMV.

Powers: +10
Fund: 0
I’m disappointed with Fund’s convoluted and inaccurate argument that it’s tougher for the press corps. And it’s not just the press corps. Obama’s given several interviews to various news anchors and top reporters, none of which that I can think of who’ve been tough with the questioning. He does back down some, qualifying the problem as not providing context. Well, context is essentially opinion, in that the context is selected for what’s important to understand about the issue, and when have these folk been timid about adding their opinions when reporting?

Yes.

OK, when Kirsten Powers starts making sense, you know you’re in a parallel universe.

Fox is supposed to be moderate and centrist, to be seen as an honest broker. For a news program with an actual Republican bent, you need something else.

I don’t know, she’s been on the money a lot lately.
Cindy Munford on January 27, 2013 at 12:17 PM
Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to happen. It seems to me these guys are just putting the Svengali Effect into play early to cover their butts if something big comes out.
Cindy Munford on January 27, 2013 at 12:23 PM
Yep – they want an equivalent to MSNBC. Not that there is anything wrong with that – unlike MSNBC, I’d expect its Conservative equivalent to be honest about its bias, and fair, too!

The president wouldn’t last 3 months if we had a responsible media. He’d have to resign or be impeached.
