Lefties are quite comfortable whining under the protection of the U.S. military umbrella, imagining themselves as courageous opponents of the “military industrial complex”.

Introducing that phrase into the lexicon diminished a lot of Ike’s stature.
Melissa Harris-Perry; Obama’s model jowhornalist. MSNBC really is a cesspool!

I’m still wondering how a woman with a lisp gets a talk show. I hate when I make a mistake and stumble on to her show. If I had kids, they would not be allowed to play at her house with her kids.
Well let’s give props for bringing policy differences into focus. To conservatives, the military is “beloved as an engine of war,” since it keeps us safe, and the stronger it is, the less likely there is to be a war.
Any of our resident Hot Gas Leftists up for responding to this perceptive observation, again from one of the NewsBusters readers?
She probably hates the military because they are the ones who stood up to the Democrat racists in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957-58 and forced the Democrat racists to accept integration in their schools.

She’s the correct sex, the correct race, and has a correct “disability”. What more can you ask for?
I’d be interested in an analysis of the prog-districts and prog-states that benefit tremendously from the defense industry.

Look no further than the State O’bamna claims to have been born in. And one of the biggest examples of the “military-industrial complex” can be found way out on the west coast of the beautiful island of Kaua’i, where the Pacific Missile Test Range is located.
The Bleu State of California also gets a lot of military spending. So does Massachusetts, in the tech sector.
That’s a lie, progressives despise the military they don’t control. When they do control the military they use it on everyone that disagrees with them. See Stalin, Mao Zedong, Castro, and whichever Kim is running North Korea. Jane Fonda, an arch-progressive, fervently supported the North Vietnamese army.
For some reason people are easily duped into believing leftist memes.
Progressives are enraptured by death and humiliation of those who don’t agree with their total authoritarianism.
Don’t forget the Perfumed Prince, Wes Clark. AKA the General who nearly started World War 3.
Ah yes that was truly a high point in American warfighting when the British lead told Clark he simply wouldn’t obey his order because he thought Clark was a fricken dangerous idiot.
But the most recent stats show that at least when it comes to officers, conservatives still outnumber progressives 7 to 1.
In the enlisted ranks however, it’s now nearly a 50-50 split. Which is a huge change from just 20 years ago.
So bho is ‘progressive’ along with all the other slime titles he has earned as to why he despises the military and proves it by all he has done since elected?

Jackson, a combat vet unlike Clark, went on to take become chief of the general staff (equivalent of chairman of the Joint Chiefs).
Clark was rotated out of his NATO post early and later made a bid to become the Democrat Presidential Candidate – arguably a role he was more suited to than being a combat commander.
Blowback

Many but not all.
There are a lot of progressives IN the military at all levels. Which way do you reckon Powell, Petraeus, and McChrystal lean?
