The exaggerations of the attendance at that event have always been comical.

Not that a lot of people don’t show up, it’s just always funny how they are counted by different people.

Why, there were two million people there the year I went.

Last weekend more people FOR gun rights gathered at some of the state capitols. There were rallies at 49 state capitols, and some of the rallies had 2-3000 people.

WaPo and most of the media I saw covered the March for Life and there was even more coverage than usual because of the milestone anniversary. I just had a look at the WAPO Website and found 13 articles covering the March for Life events. I read the papers and only knew there was a gun control event because of Hot Air.

The Republican party, which has chosen the gun lobby as a favorite campaign funding source, has been struggle to understand the reasons for their electoral losses in the last election.

The reason is so simple that its sheer simplicity is what eludes them. They are simply out of touch with the feelings of the vast majority of Americans.

This is also true of the gun issue. It is just another example of how well financed minorities can prevail against majority sentiment.
