Women and “appropriate” combat standards
Here’s how you create a single gender-neutral standard: You universally apply the existing one that was developed based on a sole criterion — combat readiness. What was wrong with the standard that men had to meet? Nothing, other than the fact that an insufficient number of women can pass it. …
Equally irrelevant are the stories of individual acts of heroism by women pilots, photographers, or MPs. Without question, women can act with bravery, foresight, and tactical intelligence. The issue is their effect on maximal combat capacity when introduced wholesale into combat units. The overwhelming reason advanced for the lifting of the combat ban is to improve women’s chances of promotion within the Pentagon, by giving them the opportunity to show combat duty on their resume. That is a feminist rationale. No one has advanced the argument that all-male fighting forces have been handicapped in their war-making abilities over the millennia because they did not include women in their ranks.
Apart from the obvious problems of sexual attraction and rivalries while on a fast-moving mission, it is absurd to think that putting women into a group of men doesn’t radically change the dynamics of that group We obsessively celebrate “the sisterhood.” Strong women together create a special vibe and special power, we are told; thus the ongoing existence of all-female schools and clubs at a time when any remaining all-male organizations are in the crosshairs. The concept of male bonding, however, once glorified in epics and drama, is now viewed as simply exclusionary, of no value to society whatsoever.

Show me that quality women will continue to enlist if their pumped up expectations aren’t met and you’ll have an airtight case. Otherwise you risk having to take men out of combat to do jobs women now fill.

There is of course an argument that the military is too big anyway, and that a smaller, even more elite fighting force would require a smaller supporting infrastructure. Second look at Donald Rumsfeld?

Within one years, we will have hundreds of lawsuits against the DOD by women for “discriminatory” practices or “sexual harassment” in the military.

Feminism is not going to hump that mortar baseplate up the mountain.

They have been lowering standards to make women appear identical to men for a long time.
Attended a boot camp graduation years ago. They sell videos to the families of the young punks qualifying on guns, obstacle course, taking tear gas etc.
You could see when the females had to go over the wall they struggled. They do not have the arm strength. Asked the (male) graduate if the obstacle course was difficult. He said it was ridiculously easy, because they scaled it back so the females could pass it.
Our society gives women the advantage in domestic disputes. If she alleges threats, the guy has to go to anger management. This is not totally unfair. Men are more aggressive, they are bigger and stronger. And women are wired to protect the little ones. I don’t have a problem giving them extra protection they demand
But they don’t deserve the extra points they are getting in the military. They will displace a man if used in combat. We are becoming as stupid as the Stalinists, who also replaced reality with political correctness. Stupidity is not a way to win wars

Load a standard ruck with 60 pounds of sand and let whatever female hump it. Along with an M-4 and 120 rounds. Kevlar Brain Bucket, standard load bearing gear, two quarts of water and 100 rounds of belted 5.56 for the squad’s SAW all night long. While maintaining noise discipline. And then we’ll talk.
Until then. All you are doing is needlessly endangering lives.

Still not one single good reason for doing this.

The military will never lift standards up for women, because barely any of them will be able to hack it. What they will do is drop standards for everyone. This will meet their quota in combat arms. This will result in more deaths both men and women.
Bravo.. equality through death.
