Where did Democrats get those assault weapons for Feinstein’s press conference?
In the case of congressional Democrats, the office of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) asked D.C. Police to provide them with weapons they could display at their event. Assault weapons in the custody of police are permitted in D.C., according to Feinstein spokesman Brian Weiss.
Following the event, Feinstein told reporters the weapons were police evidence, but at the time she declined to say from which police agency.
“Senator Feinstein’s office coordinated this process with all relevant agencies and departments to make certain all applicable laws were followed,” Weiss said in a statement.
U.S. Capitol Police and the Senate Sergeant at Arms inspected the weapons to ensure they were inoperable before they were permitted inside the Dirksen Senate Office building for the event, according to Weiss and Capitol Police spokesman Shennell Antrobus.

My guess: the BATF’s personal stash.
(I suspect, and hope, that the FBI evidence/history vault would remain closed to her.)

Some of sleazy Eric the Red Holder’s Sinaloa Drug Cartel friends were in DC negotiating, er, trade agreements with an anonymous Vega$ senator and were happy to lend a few extras to their Bay Area bag lady.

You know Senator Ma’am…
Its too bad that WE ALL don’t have a “Sergeant at Arms” to protect us (like you do) to protect us from those criminals with those nasty guns (like the ones you showed off that were confiscated from criminals).

Their own collections, they are exempt from any and all these silly rules.

In the recent words of an esteemed Democrat, “What difference does it make!” Everybody knows that rules don’t apply to Democrats and their friends.
Besides, the inoperable guns mounted on pegboards aren’t a threat to anyone. It’s the Fiscal Sexual Assault Weapons that took their turns marching up to the podium that eveyone really needs to be afraid of.

So, are the police saying that they tampered with evidence or was this evidence, the guns in particularly, inoperable when they were taken in as evidence as part of crime investigations?
Or are the police saying these are evidence of something else, other than crime?
BTW, is a firearm a firearm, if it is inoperable?

If my understanding of the law, at least in Oregon, the answer is “No”. Otherwise you could call anything that didn’t function as a firearm (Toothbrush, hard-boiled egg, John Grisham Novel) a firearm. But don’t go running around with a disabled Colt tucked in your belt on my word.

Pictures of the weapons just wouldn’t do. They HAD to have the physical weapons … for what reason?
This is all so ridiculous. Beyond the idiotic attempt for an un-Constitutional ban, the sheer imbecility behind the presentation is mind-numbing. Such idiots we have running around our government.
