Latest rescue for Cory Booker: A freezing dog
“This is brutal weather. This dog is shaking really bad and you just can’t leave your dogs out here on a day like this and go away and expect them to be OK,” the mayor told WABC. “Hypothermia on any animal including a human animal will set in pretty quickly. So this is very sad. You can just feel the dog shaking pretty badly.”
Booker picked up the dog and put it into the back of a police car.

I’d have a hard time not voting for Cory Booker if given the chance. He seems like a very smart, caring, and genuinely nice guy. Plus his willingness to go off the Democratic message is a good sign when things like entitlement reform are such pressing needs.

By making it public, it informs the idiots not to leave their poor pets outside in freezing weather. It also encourages people who do see pets freezing their little tails off, to take some sort of action.

Giving speeches/interviews that go off message is one thing. Going ahead and actually doing thigs that work, instead of following the usual Democratic Party Playbook is a totally different thing entirely.
I’m sure he is a very smart, nice caring guy. Unfortunately, the “D” in parentheses after hs name means something. It means more bloated wasteful spending, more debt, more and higher taxes, weaker military strength, more non-smart power diplomacy, more craptacular, counterproductive regulatory expansion, more hyperenvironemntal/green energy-fetish based decisionmaking, more gun-grabbing, and more liberal nutbag judges appointed to long-lasting judicial terms.
You just wait. If he ends up getting elected President, he’ll be just as bad as Barry. He won’t be such an arrogant, professorial know-it-all, hyperpartisan, holier-than-thou ass (and that would be refreshing, and it would make him seem better by comparison), but the overal results will be basically the same.

It’s great if you end up in the right place at the right time to help someone in dire need, but… am I cynical in thinking this seems to be happening a lot to one guy?
I have visions of Mr. Incredible in the car listening to the police scanner:

A news crew saw the dog outside. Hours later, they saw the dog still out. So they tweeted Cory Booker and then it was retweeted by a lot of people. So, he came out to see if he could do something.

I know plenty of smart, caring, nice guys that want to do things the exact opposite of how they should be done.
But it’s good to know that political tricks like those used by Booker work so effectively on people like you.
