Video: “When they hear things that don’t jibe with what they want to hear, it’s very disconcerting”
Bill O’Reilly tonight highlighted findings that liberals on the internet tend to be less tolerant of opposing views than conservatives. Democrat Kirsten Powers agreed with this sentiment, relaying from her own personal experiences engaging with liberals and conservatives, surmising that the former tend to be less tolerant because they are used to controlling the media.
O’Reilly said the study finds liberals are far more sensitive about criticism, and a significant percentage of them have ended online relationships due to political differences. Powers explained that after getting out of her own “Democratic bubble,” she noticed that conservatives tend to be more open to hearing opposing viewpoints than liberals. …
Powers added that most of these liberals are generally shocked about dissenting views because they just assume everyone believes their beliefs are just common sense. Kate Obenshain agreed with Powers, saying that when conservatives on college campuses openly disagree with liberal orthodoxy, they are charged with “violating the campus speech codes.”

My brother was just unfriended by a friend from high school for expressing conservative beliefs.
And the music professor in TN who tried to get me fired for being conservative was a stand-up guy.

I don’t see a problem – I don’t listen to a word the left says, anyway.

I unfriended a liberal acquaintance on facebook after the election. Then again, he was trying to draw a comparison between the election map and the confederacy…after winning the election. I decided to just delete my FB account about 10 minutes later because I got tired of seeing liberal friends and family members stuff my newsfeed with their garbage.

He discovered my blog, then decided the best way to have an argument was to try and destroy my life (Alinsky!) by emailing other people and telling them I was a neanderthal. Evidently, that was the first time he did that, but not the last.
Total intolerant liberal. Tried the same thing to Jeff over at Protein Wisdom.

Well, there are some obvious similarities.

Amazing what happens when their bubble is pierced by reality.

How DARE YOU hold a different opinion than his. Do you hate diversity? Do you hate freedom? Or maybe you’re just crazy. You should definitely be reviewed by a mental health professional.
Did I miss anything?
Oh, right!
RACIST!

I’ve found on Face Book, hat my more liberal friends, just hate dissent. Somehow it just discombobulates them! It seems that they have every right to share their opinions with me, but Heaven Forfend if I share my opinion with THEM!
