The reality that awaits women in combat
Many articles have been written regarding the relative strength of women and the possible effects on morale of introducing women into all-male units. Less attention has been paid to another aspect: the absolutely dreadful conditions under which grunts live during war. …
When we did reach Baghdad, we were in shambles. We had not showered in well over a month and our chemical protective suits were covered in a mixture of filth and dried blood. We were told to strip and place our suits in pits to be burned immediately. My unit stood there in a walled-in compound in Baghdad, naked, sores dotted all over our bodies, feet peeling, watching our suits burn. Later, they lined us up naked and washed us off with pressure washers.
Yes, a woman is as capable as a man of pulling a trigger. But the goal of our nation’s military is to fight and win wars. Before taking the drastic step of allowing women to serve in combat units, has the government considered whether introducing women into the above-described situation would have made my unit more or less combat effective?
Societal norms are a reality, and their maintenance is important to most members of a society. It is humiliating enough to relieve yourself in front of your male comrades; one can only imagine the humiliation of being forced to relieve yourself in front of the opposite sex.

Disdain for not being as physically able, pregnancy, rape by barbarians, and death.
Reality is a b!tch, and she hits hard. Way harder then the whiny bimbos who think “paternalistic attitudes” are the reason we aren’t putting people with boobs on the front lines.
I suspect more than a couple women will want to run crying back to their mommies and girlfriends after they get what they think they want good and hard. Much like if Dumbte the anarchist loon was parachuted into Somalia. But you can’t just up and go home in the Army.

This has nothing to do with elevating women, but taking men down a peg.
Not equality of opportunity but equality of outcome.

It won’t be long until robots are fighting the wars.

And it won’t be much longer after that before the rare genius in the terrorist ranks figures out EMP weaponry, or that if you blow up the control center all those shiny million-dollar robots are yours for the taking.
Don’t think the latter isn’t possible, they can hit us on our own soil if they really want to hard enough.

No time or facilities for feminine hygiene breaks.

We will have queers and tears on the front line.

And they will want to sponge off the VA the rest of their lives for the “trauma’ inflicted upon them by evil men.
davidk on January 24, 2013 at 11:53 AM
We should be further along on that front. A few well trained special ops sneaking in and painting a target–BOOM.
davidk on January 24, 2013 at 11:55 AM
We should have space travel advanced to the point that all we need to do is tow smallish asteroids into near-Earth orbit and announce that the next nation to anger us gets the Wile E. Coyote treatment. All of the boom of a nuke with none of the “turn the land uselessly radioactive for 1000 years” business to worry about.
We could literally be the most feared, respected, and obeyed nation on the planet by dropping big rocks on the heads of barbarians and tyrants. How screwy is THAT?

Judging by female facebook pages with albums and albums of lookatme pics, they won’t last long in reality.

Not to mention there will be more screwing than a session of Clowngress. Kinda tends to happen when you put men and women in a place where they could lost an limb, a friend, their life, or all three in that order by that time next week.

So, as I understand this, a women enlists in the Army and she can be assigned to an infantry unit? Oh, wait, she gets to pick if she wants to, just like the men.

I personally witnessed more than half a female basic training company fall out for sick call, entirely due to exactly that.
That’s right, UTI redlined an entire company.

On the other hand, I might not want to be a Taliban unit facing a bunch of women with PMS and assault rifles.

This can all be answered with one simple question:
“Why aren’t there any females playing in the NFL?

“The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In either case, most of the actual fighting will be done by small robots. And as you go forth today remember always your duty is clear: To build and maintain those robots.” – The Simpsons (1999)

Actually, yes. Some of this is that females in non-combat branches can now be assigned at the Battalion level to combat arms (Infantry, Arty, Cav) units.
So a female Intelligence officer can now be simply assigned to an Infantry Battalion (presumably to be the S-2, Intelligence and Security) despite her not being Infantry. In a position like that (and even more so if she were assigned the the S-3 shop (Operations and Training)), she would be expected to periodically show up at main lines of resistance in order to gather “ground level” intelligence, or to ensure operations are being performed as scheduled and to standard.
This is part of the “unforseen consequences” that goes into decisions like these. It’s one thing to say, “If she can hack being Infantry, welcome to the suck.” The reality is that even at the Infantry Battalion and Company levels, there exists jobs that are currently staffed by males of non-Infantry MOSs. Soon those barriers will be gone and replaced by women holding the jobs like Company Supply, or Battlion staff and support jobs, who have not already proven capable of being 11Bravos. That’s the breakdown in efficiency and readiness that I worry we’re going to see.

Lots of words can and will be used to promote this lie.
All it will be when all is said and done, if it gets done, some American females will be used as bait and then they will get kia and dog tags in their front teeth.

Every American female deployed in a combat theater should be issued a “last resort bomb” – a beefed-up grenade to be used if they’re about to be taken alive. We will not be able to save them all.
