Kentucky Democrats not sold on possible Ashley Judd Senate campaign
A half-dozen Kentucky political operatives, former lawmakers and fundraisers contacted by The Hill said she had not been in touch with them, and that they had not heard from others that she was putting feelers out for a run.
Judd has also offered no indication she’ll be moving back to Kentucky anytime soon, something strategists in the state say must be the first step for the actress, who grew up in the state but calls Tennessee her home.
Their frustration with Judd may be more a reflection of an overall perception in the state that McConnell is weak, but no challenger has yet to emerge.
“Whoever runs against him is gonna have a bloody nose. I do think he’s vulnerable against the right candidate, but the right candidate has to reflect all of Kentucky, not just parts of Kentucky,” former Democratic Senate candidate Daniel Mongiardo told The Hill.

Sure Ky. is just ach’n to send liberal Democrat to D.C.
This is insulting. Judd is quite a hottie and a big UK fan.
So ergo, in some minds, she is the PERFECT candidate, because them Kain-tuck-yans, they jes luv’s them some womynz and wildcatz!
The fact that she isn’t a resident and doesn’t share any of the values of her erstwhile constituents, should not matter…she’s PURTY N’ Go Cayts!
This is akin to the crew who think that UK’s coach, Calipari, is also a viable candidate… because after all he won an NCAA National Title, and that means more than his views on gun control, abortion or taxation…

But, but… she’s from Hollywood. HOLLYWOOD, don’t you hear? She doesn’t have to do all that boring ground work, preparations, reaching out to the party and stuff. SHE. IS. From. HOLLYWOOD. She is ABOVE all that junk and stuff. Come on you backwater, hillbillies in Kentucky. H.O.L.L.Y.W.O.O.D!!

I know McConnell is not loved hereabouts, but anyone who thinks that Senator McConnell is going to be put out to pasture any time soon is living in the same world as Obama. He’d be tough for a TEA Party candidate to beat, much less some person who’s not particularly conservative…

Yeah, imagine that.
