The words Obama didn’t say
About those political fights ahead, Obama did not even pretend that they will take place among combatants who fundamentally respect the other side’s motives or basic decency. At repeated turns, he signaled the opposite.
Obama used the address to denounce opponents who “mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate.” His obstacles include people who ignorantly “still deny the overwhelming judgment of science” on global warming, believe the beneficiaries of Social Security and Medicare have turned America into a “nation of takers,” and would deny equal protection of voting laws to minorities.
There is no mystery where the absence of goodwill comes from: Obama believes he is matching the contempt conservatives have shown to him with contempt of his own.
But there is also no mistaking the significance of hurling these bolts from an inaugural stage, unprecedented in modern times. Until now, every inaugural address since George H.W. Bush’s in 1989, including Obama’s first in 2009, has included as a major theme an appeal for greater civility and mutual respect in Washington. The elder Bush said, “To my friends — and yes, I do mean friends — in the loyal opposition — and yes, I mean loyal: I put out my hand.” Obama’s speech will be recalled as a historical marker noting the decline of the once-common belief that internecine partisan wars in Washington were a short-term aberration that could be stilled through soothing rhetoric or symbolic outreach.
Obama deserves credit for abandoning pretense.

Republicans to apologize for upsetting Obama in 3…2…

I have to laugh at the leftists who always want to claim to be on the side of science.
OK, I get that they don’t believe in Creationism. Fine. But their cognitive dissonance when it comes to the actual data that disputes their belief in manmade global warming makes them look like utter fools to any objective observer.
And don’t you have to understand at least a little about mathematics to believe in science? Leftists seem to be completely unable to handle even the simplest arithmetic.

No. He’s a thin skinned, small and petty man. And, now his divisive, undesirable and nasty disposition is recorded for all posterity in the form of his 2nd ignaugural address.

Hmmmm, I don’t know about that. Chrissy Matthews told me that 0bama’s second inaugural speech was the greatest thing since Lincoln’s Gettysburg address.

Not to mention, I think it’s time for a national conversation on DNA and the timeline of human life.

That’s the moral value system of an adolescent. Criticize him all you want to, but GW Bush would never have taken that attitude.
A few years ago, and I can’t find the quote, really wish I could, in an impromptu speech Obama misquoted Scripture more or less as “Do unto others as they would do unto you”. I’m sure later someone informed him about basic Christian principles so he could modify it in subsequent public speeches.
But I believe it showed a glimpse, an insight into his personal morality, his personal religious faith. That really IS what Obama believes. It’s logical to him, and to all appearances, that’s how he conducts his life. You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. You disrespect me, I’ll disrespect you. The morality of an adolescent.

We need to harness the energy of the Obama Camapign’s blazin straw men. Maybe with a giant boiler/turbine setup.
In the meantime, I’m going to carry on taking the vote away from minorities and denying science exists because that’s just what I do.

Obama revealed himself as the petty little thug that he is.

Most people have no clue that all the alarmists climate models are totally bogus. They don’t know the data is ‘value added’ and these ‘scientists’ won’t release the raw data. They don’t ask themselves if taxing and sending oceans of money through our government would solve anything.
The media is the root of our problems. Organize and fight.

Interesting screen name ya got there!
But I can tell from your comment you are not the “original” crr6 who was banned a while ago.

Don’t think the original was banned. She left HA to become Sandra Fluke.

Obama will go down as the smallest President ever, ironically blowing the biggest opportunity.
