Study: Break-up sex common among young adults
Having sex with an ex seems to be a fairly typical part of the breakup process for young adults, a new study shows. …
The researchers found that nearly half (44 percent) had broken up and gotten back together with a girlfriend or boyfriend. Among those who had rekindled a flame, 53 percent said sex was part of the reconciliation. Racial minorities in particular were more likely to reconcile and have sex with an ex, the study found.
This so-called “relationship churning” is far more common among young people than married adult couples, the researchers say. This could reflect the general instability and romantic exploration that are characteristic of emerging adulthood, though the team warns that such behavior could have negative emotional consequences.

Isn’t that technically “make-up sex”?

Do we really need to know this? And why do they call this crap “science”?

This must be a straight/hetero-couple phenomena. I’ve never slept with an ex post-breakup. Then again, that’s only my experience.

Oh, to be young again.

Or as I and my friends say “Once a ho always a ho”
I am glad I dont have to deal with women now a days. I can imagine what kind of baggage would come with most females now. IMO , I have kept myself from doing anything with a heartbeat, and I find it unattractive when the partner failed to follow the same rules.

That’s what I would call it. To me, break-up sex would be knowing the relationship is ending and getting one for the road.

Calling it “science” to get NIH grant money is a more plausible con than calling it “art” to get NEA grant money.

So… wait… a young couple is romantically involved, breaks up, and then when they get back together has sex? And this qualifies as news, let alone science? Is there anyone who could not have predicted that couples who reconcile might just have sex? As was cited above, has no one involved in this “science” ever heard the term “make-up sex” before?
Sheesh…

“Science.”
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

If “goo to you by way of the zoo” can qualify as science and anyone who disagrees with it as an ignorant bumpkin, something like this is par for the course.
Another organization’s credibility trashed thanks to leftists!
