Paul Ryan working on a budget that balances in ten years
House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan is working on a budget that a spokesman says will balance in 10 years, according to a spokesman.
“Chairman Ryan looks forward to working with his colleagues to draft a responsible budget by the April 15 deadline. He hopes last week’s agreement helps spur action by his Senate counterparts to do the same,” Budget Committee spokesman Will Allison said. “With the right reforms put in place, Chairman Ryan’s goal is to advance a budget that balances within a decade.”

10 years? Well sheeeooot, that’s not long to wait.
Meanwhile every pol in existence will be busy finding ways around the budget and further sinking this nation into the abyss.
None of these aholes is serious, they’re just nibbling at the edges so they can claim they’re doing something.

Umm.. Guys weren’t you whining about Ryan’s budget being too moderate? See now it balances sooner. Of course, it is a political document and something to keep Ryan busy until it doesn’t look tacky to him to spend lots of time in NH.

This Republican is not a conservative. He, and his voting record, are nothing more but another big government statist.

More fiddling as the republic burns…

Ridiculous. Anything past 2 years is just grandstanding for future office.

Why is it so hard to balance a budget in 1 year? Or even (being generous) 2 years?
Any one of us here (except the leftist trolls who can’t do basic checkbook math) could probably do it.

If the GOP is serious about it, they need to go on TV and attack Obama and the Dems with this.
Ten years is okay for me–not perfect, but more than enough to satisfy our creditors and people scared of losing their Obamaphones.

RADICAL! He’s going to force us to spend within ourr means a decade from now! That really was him pushing grandma off the cliff!!!!

Exactly, some people are never happy.

Ten years is EIGHT years too long. Balance it in under TWO years, or get the hell out and make room for someone with the cajones to get the job done.
Stop caving to special interest groups (esp old folks and Leftists). Social spending belongs on the chopping block first–and those cuts need to be permanent.

Lets imagine what this budget will look like…
Defense spending will remain flat or even decrease over the ten years, why? In order to pay for layabout lazy good for nothing people, to include the between 62 and 84 year olds.
Then there will be amazingly unbelievably huge increases in income he will argue will materialize if only we adopt his budget.
Then, at the end of 10 years, the budget will be much higher, income much lower and deficits and debt much higher than planned.
