Forty years ago…
Forty years ago today the Supreme Court rendered its Roe v. Wade decision. …
Lately, President Obama has taken to boldly highlighting children in his speeches. Using kids as the backdrop for his gun control speech, the President claimed his commitment to young ones. “If there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said. He then outlined why gutting our Second Amendment is the means by which he believes we accomplish this. Every law-abiding citizen’s heart is broken when children are the target of men hell-bent on committing acts of evil, and we agree that the safety and protection of innocent life is paramount.
The hypocrisy of it all, however, is that while the President publicly acknowledges the value of “even one life” when it advances his own political agenda, he fails to acknowledge as much when it comes to protecting the lives of children soon to be born. In that same speech, he proclaimed that “when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now.” Well, who is more vulnerable than those who find themselves at the mercy of others to honor their existence and receive them into our world? Are these—the truly vulnerable—not worthy of the protection of which the President speaks? Why is it that their cause is never the subject of one of his lofty addresses to the nation? Has he ever even mentioned the March for Life that takes place in his own back yard and ought to be worthy of at least a scant mention? If indeed we have an obligation to save “even one life,” when will we hear our President rally Americans to stand alongside women who find themselves in these less than ideal circumstances to offer the support they need, to encourage parents to choose life, and to promote the option of adoption? Instead, he has committed himself to the most liberal of abortion agendas—so much so that as a Senator he couldn’t even bring himself to support the Born Alive Act that would save the lives of babies ALREADY BORN and needing medical aid. Further, he believes taxpayers should betray their consciences by paying for his abortion agenda. This same President has stated he didn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby,” and remarked that it was “above my pay grade” to answer a pastor’s question: “At what point does a baby get human rights?” Yet now we are to somehow believe that children are the priority in his current aggressive campaign against the Second Amendment?

Any pro-life candidates running or currently in office would do well to take note of how Palin expresses the pro-life view. She is one of the best at it. Her Evansville speech in 2009 was the best.

No one fearlessly speaks truth directly to Obama like Sarah Palin.

There’s gotta be a better spokesperson on this issue. Sarah Palin, T-O-D-D, Bristol, Track and Baby Daddy Levi belong could be stand-ins for the cast of BUCKWILD. Palin used her son as a prop just as much as any gun-grabber. Why don’t we see Trig so much these days? Hmmm.
I consider adolescents/teen parents a punishment on society. They transmit or most tragic social-pathology generation to generation. They cost me money, too much. Why wouldn’t a father consider his daughter getting pregnant at such a young age to be punishment?
At what age does a kid’s pregnancy become a blessing rather than a burden? How old will Piper be when Sarah gives her the blessing to get knocked up by the local meth-dealing loser? 18? How old was Bristol? Yeah, exactly….sickening.
As bad and regretful as I am about supporting Romney, I would still take him EVERY SINGLE TIME over The Quitter. At least Romney pretended to want it until the end.

What is it about progressives they cannot admit the atrocities and jump all over honest brokers like Palin?
From the nurse who sparked born alive legislation:
Stanek testified:
Obama who gathers the little children around him for his agenda, has another name for the ones who die alone: pre-viable. Here is audio
Where is Biden, so fearless on gun confiscation? Could he not run to pick up a tiny infant and cradle it before it expired, without IV, or nutrition, or a mother’s love?
entagor on January 23, 2013 at 1:20 AM
Thank you Gov. Palin for pointing out that babies are being denied their natural unalienable right to life. This right is being stolen from them.
and thank you for giving Obama a proper bitch slapping for his gross hypocrisy.
Firelight on January 23, 2013 at 1:43 AM
The man not only voted for infanticide, but he blatantly lied about his vote and accused others of lying when caught in the lie. He then had his “campaign spokesman” admit that he had been “mistaken” about his vote that he had been lying about his whole career. The national media NEVER covered the story. Infanticide, lying, and being caught lying during the middle of a Presidential campaign. Just not news worthy.

I stand with Sarah Palin.
I am pro-life. Pro-choice is a term that leftists hide behind. Being pro-choice means you think a woman has the right to make a choice between allowing her baby to survive full-term or to commit government-sanctioned murder.
Why am I pro-life? First, give me an example of anything that has a heartbeat and yet isn’t a living organism. Second, if you think the embryo/fetus is part of the woman’s body, why does it have DNA different than the mother’s DNA?
Pro-choice should mean that a woman has a choice of keeping and raising her baby or giving her baby up for adoption if she doesn’t want it, for whatever reason. That is a choice that relishes life.
NoNails on January 23, 2013 at 7:01 AM
Wow. You sound extremely bitter. And like someone who doesn’t have any kids, or has no clue how teenagers act.
I have a daughter who got knocked up when she was 20yo.
We raised her right & she still made the choice to be stupid.
My granddaughter was inconvenient to my daughter at 1st.
She was alone, her pregnancy was very difficult, & then the baby had a 10 day stay in the NICU. Very expensive. The father is a twit, but he paid for it all. Probably bcs his parents made him.
But that’s beside the point.
My little giblet’s going to be 3 yo soon. And she is awesome.
I admire Sarah. And she has a wonderful family.
Dude, you have NO CLUE what it’s like to raise a teenager in this society. I’ve got 4 girls. One still in HS. The rest graduated. And they act like twits sometimes.
But even if another out of wedlock kid happens, I will still love it, like Sarah loved her grandbaby & her daughter.
WTF was the woman supposed to do? Abandon & vilify & hate Bristol for being a dumba$$ teenage girl?
You, Sir, are a royal POS for piling on someone who did the best they could.
And as far as being a quitter, you obviously never looked into why she quit.
I would have done the same thing bcs what she did was save the state of AK a lot of time, money & heartbreak. Sarah also saved her own family from financial ruin.
How was she supposed to defend the onslaught of the Democratic machine like that?
You need to get laid or something. Perhaps you’d stop being such a bitter hateful person.

Blessings on you and your beautiful grandchild.
Fallon on January 23, 2013 at 8:38 AM
Because the child is your flesh and blood. The grandchild is your flesh and blood. Your embarrassment does not trump that child’s right to be born.
I was at a family gathering over the holidays. One of my husband’s cousins had gotten pregnant in her late teens and kept the child. That beautiful child is such a joy. She’s a good student, happy and talented academically and athletically. Her formerly “teenage” mom leaned over to her own mother, the loving and patient grandmother, and said, “How could we have ever lived without her in our lives?” There wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
No child is a mistake. No child is a punishment.

I may not agree with her or even want her to be President, but this is so spot on. My SIL got pregnant at 17. I could not imagine my life without my nephew and now nieces. They have added so much to my life. How anyone could want to end their lives is nothing but selfishness and cold blooded murder.
nyclakerfan on January 23, 2013 at 8:54 AM
Track Palin has voluntarily served two tours of duty as an infantryman in two different wars. Your “severely conservative” plastic-haired metrosexual idol Teh Mittenz was dodging the draft in a mansion in France when he was Track’s age.
But hey, his sons working on his campaign was equivalent to serving in a war zone or something, right? I guess being shot at is for the little people.
Walter Sobchak on January 23, 2013 at 9:28 AM
Natural consequences are not ‘punishment’.
If his daughter were to stick her finger in a light socket, getting shocked would not be ‘punishment’, that’s just what happens when you stick your finger in a light socket.
Similarly, screwing some D-average pimple farm and getting pregnant when you’re too young to be having sex is not ‘punishment’. That would be when her father puts the baby up for adoption (she has no business being a mother) and ships her off to an isolated girls’ school until the day she turns 18.
