Rapper thrown offstage at pre-inaugural concert for criticizing Obama
During an interview with CBS in 2011, he called the president a terrorist. Lupe said, “My fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama and the United States of America. I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism.”
“You know, the root cause of terrorism is the stuff the U.S. government allows to happen. The foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists.”
Lupe has also criticized Obama’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has stated that he does not vote in elections because of his anti-establishment views.

Fiasco is off the mark, but at least consistent and honest with his opinions. Honesty is costly these days if you’re on the Left. Don’t cross the Regime.

Um, no, he was kicked off for not shut(ting) up and sing(ing).
Dusty on January 21, 2013 at 8:11 AM
He’s criticizing him for not being left-wing enough, and is correct to note the difference between what Obama says and what he does concerning foreign policy.

They’re happy to give a platform and a warm welcome to rappers who spew hatred for the United States, and even those who call for the murder of U.S. military personnel, but they draw the line when it comes to criticism of Dear Leader, because that’s offensive and wrong!

You dare to question the great and powerful Ozbama?
Naturally Curly on January 21, 2013 at 8:16 AM
Excellent point.

And yet, by not voting, Lupe is partially responsible for Obama being in office as the Terrorist-in-Chief.
But yeah, examples of the shallowness of this Administration continue and we’ll never see it on Low Information Television.

From QOTD thread:
Around My Way [Freedom Ain't Free] Lupe Fiasco (NSFW) but interesting hook:
In 2011, he called Obama a “terrorist” but he doesn’t vote.
*shaking my head*

I sort of want to shake his hand while kicking his teeth in.

This is true, but not mutually exclusive with the other statement. He was pitched off the stage because he went on a lefty rant – against Obama.
The vetting that Obama’s people do is really horrid. They had to pitch the pastor… now this guy. Does anyone even really know how to do personnel research in the Obama team? How many “Oops!” does this make for them in 4+ years?

Does it even matter at this point?

You were hired to sing, not flap your stupid mouth. No sympathy.

I know I should hate this guy, but…um…word!
Rational Thought on January 21, 2013 at 9:25 AM
I agree with that somewhat. I’m not sure how many cases you’d include with this one. This one, that pastor, yes, those kind fit the category.
But if you include others such as his appointments, or many of his hirings, I’m inclined towards those being purposeful for one reason or another, to the extent that they might be considered best choices, from Obama’s point of view.
Dusty on January 21, 2013 at 9:26 AM
he wasn’t thrown off stage because he lacked talent???
just askin…
