Bad news: Joe Scarborough not a fan of Ted Cruz
“Can somebody tell him that he’s actually Senator of a large demographically changing state and not a spokesman for the Tea Party?” moaned Scarborough. “I was shocked!”
MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell added that she was also “shocked” reminding Scarborough that Sen. Schumer D-N.Y. was polite in spite of Cruz’s “unusual” behavior.
“It was a very unusual performance by a freshman senator who doesn’t seem to want to get along, wants to sort of start a fire here,” she said.
Scarborough was sharply critical of Cruz, for suggesting that a woman in living next to a crack house in Washington D.C. was unable to own a handgun.

My respect for Ted Cruz just keeps going up.

Just one more reason to like Ted!

Mika’s b-friend is such a fool. He should run with Crist or Christie.

I disagree. @ 5, Spawn’s opinions were far more cogent that anything that shoots out of Scarbourgh’s piehole.

As an MSNBC host – Joe knows who butters his bread.
He’s on the street if he doesn’t “get along” with the left.
As always – follow Joes’ money – or the source anyway.
jake-the-goose on January 21, 2013 at 4:05 PM
Racist.
Just keep thinking 2016 there, Joe, you might just squeak in.
Bishop on January 21, 2013 at 4:08 PM
If Andrea Mitchell and Joe Scarborough approve of a Republican then he must be betraying his party.
It is nice to see a Republican remember who got him elected.
It is not Ted Cruz’s job to get along with Chuck Schumer.
NeoKong on January 21, 2013 at 4:10 PM
Joe and Colin Powell need to accept that many Conservatives no longer consider it necessary to sit in the back of the bus and let the RINOs drive.
If they disagree with the new Congress members the voters are electing perhapsit is time fo the to transfer that identification over to D. It gets really tiresome listeningto peoplelike them p*ss and moan about how we’re not playing nice. /s

Demographically changing, since three months ago? What an idiot.
Could somebody tell Scarborough that Schumer is actually a Senator of a large demographically changing state too, and he shouldn’t be constantly denigating Tea Partiers, gun owners and conservatives?
Put Scarborough on the list.
Dusty on January 21, 2013 at 4:17 PM
As if Ted Cruz cares what Scarbro and Mitchell think. Go get ‘em Ted! And how dare Joe call out a latino in Texas, does that make Joe a racist?

This jacka$$ needs to switch parties already.
jawkneemusic on January 21, 2013 at 4:22 PM
I’m shocked by how disgusting Schumer has been behaving for many years. To me, he is Satan personified. Oh, and Steel can quit with the gun grabber stuff, and Joe should just go ahead and register as a Democrat.
I’m extremely pleased with my new senator.
juliesa on January 21, 2013 at 4:26 PM
Yeah Joe we wouldn’t want women to be able to protect themselves and not end up dead in an office somewhere.
lakeman on January 21, 2013 at 4:27 PM
I won’t be either if he keeps quoting John Rawls.
AshleyTKing on January 21, 2013 at 4:29 PM
Someone needs to tell Benedict, oh my fault…Joe…that he is a cowardly traitor who sold his sole for some liberal gold and Peggy Shippin…oh man…I mean…Mika…

Well done Cruz. Now if we can just get Cornyn replaced then we’re getting somewhere.
Red Creek on January 21, 2013 at 4:41 PM
Hey, Joe. Being a spokesman for the Tea Party is the entire reason he’s now the junior Senator from Texas. How the hell do you think he beat Dewhurst for the nomination? By appealing to the grassroots conservatives. You know, the ones who stopped believing a long time ago that you shared any of their views.
Doughboy on January 21, 2013 at 4:51 PM
Ted won by 10-20 points than Obama won by (without looking it up)
Seems Ted’s mandate is to do whatever he darn well pleases.
tomg51 on January 21, 2013 at 4:52 PM
Not since Palin, have I been this excited about a pol. Cruz is really getting under their skin and not afraid to speak his mind. And he does a great job articulating conservative principles.
Screw the faux conservatives such as Rubio and Ryan…
And yes, Cornyn is next. I’ll be the first in line next year to primary his butt out of D.C.
davek70 on January 21, 2013 at 5:06 PM
So when is someone going to ask Joe why he Hates Hispanics?
ToddPA on January 21, 2013 at 5:10 PM
Exactly, Scarboro just stepped in his own dog’s sh!^.
Red Creek on January 21, 2013 at 5:12 PM
I assume that by “demographically changing,” Scarborough means that the state is becoming more Hispanic.
Hey, Joe, you might want to take a look at the Senator’s last name. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Cruz is Hispanic in origin.
UltimateBob on January 21, 2013 at 5:51 PM
Over the next 4 years, expect to see a lot of media love for Rubio, and hate for Cruz.
Jon0815 on January 21, 2013 at 5:54 PM
My guess is that Sen. Cruz reciprocates the same to Scarborough.
Bitter Clinger on January 21, 2013 at 6:02 PM
Joe is talking about how TX is turning blue. For those Hotgasers here who are in denial, I have spoken to R’s in the state who confirm this. As an R myself, I caution us all to be so glib about this.
