Obama’s real strength is his belief in compromise or something
And therein lies the difference with Obama’s presidential ambition. Obama the constitutional scholar seeks change through consensus rather than overstepping. On the heels of George W. Bush, who greatly expanded executive power, Obama was elected as much for what he was not as for what he was. After Bush, we became deeply suspicious of growing executive power. The nation craved a quieter type of ambition, focused on forging consensus in enacting big changes.
In 2008, Obama seemed to embody this new ambition. His confidence in himself — and in our chance for redemption in a time of war and economic adversity — was infectious. His victory was as much a repudiation of what had brought us to those depths as it was an affirmation of American ambition. His election made us feel that, even in an era of constrained economic drive, if we could make Obama president, our ambition was not only alive and well, it was healthier than ever.
Since then, Obama has attempted to realize ambition in ways not often applied to great presidencies. He has made generous efforts of conciliation in the Middle East, in early visits with Republican leaders in Congress, in his rhetorical commitment to “not red states and blue states, but United States” and in his inclusion of Republicans in top Cabinet spots.

Yeah,
definitely parody.
Obama is no scholar and no idea what compromise means.
He is just a mean spirited narcissist with delusions of grandeur.
But then, what do you expect from a little boy that has never grown up?
Question: Does he wear loafers or did he learn to tie his own shoes?

That’s one of the most idiotic things the Washington Post has ever published.
And that’s saying something.

When the sole purpose of opposition’s existence is to bring you down since day 1, compromise is not a strength, it’s a massive weakness.

Weirdass doublespeak. “I’ll just say something that is diametrically opposed to the facts and act like it’s true, and then I’ll be persuasive!”
You gotta wonder where in the hell these people think they’re coming from. I mean, that have to hold themselves in pretty high esteem to come up with this.
And that’s the charitable interpretation: He doesn’t believe it; he’s just trying his best to persuade through nine-dimensional lying. The other interpretation is that he believes it, and he’s psychotic.

as opposed to democrats’ nice and cordial treatment of Bush the younger Lestard?
This status can only exist because of the press’ bias and refusal to hold him to account, if or when we get power again we are going to have to destroy the media.
harlekwin15 on January 20, 2013 at 4:20 PM
That’s the problem. Obama and his legion of supporters actually believe he is “compromising”. He’s not. He’s tacking on ideas that some Republican somewhere once advocated without ever asking if any current Republicans care about such things. Then he acts surprised when Republicans aren’t grateful. He isn’t compromising with anyone except the Republicans living inside his head.

I have to make two posts because HA won’t lat me combine and W.C.King is A charlatan college professor. He is cheating his students. First lie (now called misstatement)
What universe is this guy from. Obama is reviled and hated by at least half the population of this country because he is not a constitutional scholar but claims to be (show me his transcript) and he does NOT try to govern by consensus, but by the bludgeon and the complicity of a media that will NEVER question him. By the way, I suspect that he would be reviled and hated by more than half of the population, but they don’t want to be accused of racism.

Comment part 2:
This defines the professor as a charlatan. Our nation’s youth were NOT consumed in a war in Iraq. We have no conscription or draft like most other communist countries. Our Soldiers and Marines were ALL volunteers, many for multiple deployments. What a liar this charlatan is! If the war in Iraq was launched on false pretenses, then these pretenses were developed by his second mostus favoritest president, Clinton, and voted on affirmatively by almost all of the members of the marxist dhimocrapt party.
Old Country Boy on January 20, 2013 at 4:43 PM
I do not give a flying flit what shade skin bho is, he is beyond the worse president WE have ever had and he uses his skin shade to get away with murder and NO one does squat to stop him. bho/team will use this ‘race’ thing to stop anything the r’s or a great number of American’s don’t like about bho till they try to make us come along to their way of thinking? It is about the way the rop type handles things, do it our way or you are sol? I gotta say, bho/team has hood-winked gobs of American’s to cow under the ‘race’ thing?

I am not ignorant, this phrasing is true and correct. Using the word “other”, I include The United States with its marxist president and senate, along with a myriad unapproved czars (dictators) to be little different than most other marxist countries. A lot of the dhimocrapt liars would like me to delete the word “other” to exclude the US from this description. Maybe one of the trolls can give me an example where this is not true.
Old Country Boy on January 20, 2013 at 4:51 PM
You pulled those numbers out of a very dark place, didn’t you?
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php
Clinton: 364 (12834 – 13197)
Bush: 291 (13198 – 13488)
Obama: 147 (13489 – 13635…)
Conservative imagination, only rivalled by conservative paranoia.
And your dear lord and savoir Reagan stands at an impressive 381.

Likewise, when the sole purpose of a President is to inform the minority party that they will have no say going forward, there can be no negotiating with him, as it is not in his nature to do so. Sucks for him.

I know nobody is going to red this because it is after the break, However:
I decided to look up the UCSB site, the source of Lester’s knowledge. Did you know that they are the second or third ranked engineering school in The United States and also in the world?
I didn’t know that. I bet MIT, CIT, CMU, (olther pricate schools)etc. will be very surprised. I bet they don’t know they have fallen so far. Look up the undergraduate or graduate college rankings in the US and UCSB does not appear in the top 100.
Of course they cite their rankings sources, but we have no information as to the basis of the rankings. However, based on their mathematical and historical convolutions, I place no credence on their listing of EOs. The information may be correct, but based on their rankings quibbling, I don’t trust the information. I bet they have a jim dandy school of climate science and minority studies. PFAH! Even the devil can quote scripture (statistics).
