“He’s doing an awesome job of bringing along conservatives and bringing along conservatives in the media”
Conservative radio talk and Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity called Rubio’s proposal “probably the most thoughtful bill that I have heard heretofore” during an interview with the senator Thursday.
On Wednesday, Bill O’Reilly, host of Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor”, told Rubio during an appearance on his show: “I like your program. I think it’s fair.”
Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, who for years has hosted a weekly meeting of conservative activists leaders, called Rubio’s plan a “step in the right direction.”…
“I think it’s encouraging. He’s talking about the basic elements of reform shared by pro-reform Republicans and the vast majority of Democrats,” Sharry said.

Didn’t George Bush already lead conservatives in this with the amnesty in 2006-07?

Conservatives in the media?!?!? You mean, both of them?

And on that note – time for bed

They really are trying to massage the chumps into this one. Ryan too.
McCain was working with Levin to slick up Senate rules, and keep Senators from playing hold out, like they did on Obamacare. It was promoted as a way fast track gun control, but perhaps it is being set up for a run on amnesty
Considering it is McCain at the bottom of it, amnesty would make a lot of sense.
They have been working Rubio on this. Rubio puts out the required editorials on the need for amnesty, followed by the usual suspects lauding Rubio’s greatness on the issue
Maybe it is better Obama won. Get your liberalism above board where you can see it coming

Amnesty is the death of the republic, and the death of the GOP as a national party.
Anyone for amnesty is either incredibly stupid, or simply working for the enemy.

I dislike Rubio for many of the same reasons I dislike McCain. I’ve heard from others here that Rubio is a Jeb Bush associate but I think of him as an extreme version of McCain. Rubio and McCain both supported arming Jihadi’s in Libya, and in spite of the predicted failure of that policy they still want to do it again in Syria! They have discredited themselves. (The link is to an article about McCain but I believe it applies even more so to Rubio based on his rhetoric WRT Libya.) McCain and Rubio are both part of the same old GOP establishment trying to undermine US sovereignty with their amnestys for illegal aliens while neglecting to make the same effort to cut spending, stop the Keynesianism in order to save the futures of our own children.

Fools will be fooled, like they were by Crist and Christie.

Amnesty is the END of conservatism. Is the END of the Republican Party.
Put the employers in prison. Change immigration law to allow SKILLED people in.
BAN welfare for illegals and their spawns.

You call us the “enemy” and then cry when we call you “racists”.
Double Standard much?

The end of what kind of conservatism? Social Conservatism? Good – bring it on.
End of the GOP – bring it on!

Liberalism has been an abject failure, and not wanting to pay taxes doesn’t make you a conservative of any kind. Lots of Democrats also avoid taxes. Liberalism creates a society that is dependent on government because it destroys the bonds that holds society together. When those bonds weaken, the nanny state steps in.
Giving citizenship to massive numbers of criminals from socialist countries in Central and South America just adds to the leftist power structure. There is a reason the left supports this and it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.
sharrukin on January 21, 2013 at 5:57 AM
Leftists are the ones who are quick to the draw with calling everyone racist. Is that who you are? If so, then yes, you are the enemy.

Can this site open up registration again? Sorry, but this is just a sorry excuse for a troll. We need better ones.

Honda is a traitor, without question. Expunge mil record, revoke citizenship, deport.
There can be no doubt what the result of amnesty will be. If you’re for it, you’re a lefty, plain and simple.
