Up next for Obama: A looming Democratic divide
An immediate answer may come in the entitlement debate and whether Obama and congressional Democrats will agree to any Social Security or Medicare benefit cuts to achieve deficit reduction, said a wide-ranging group of Democratic elected officials and strategists.
“In the short term that’s the flash point,” said longtime Democratic consultant Paul Begala.
But as moderate Republicans become an ever rarer breed and more centrists find a home in the Democratic coalition, the party also must reconcile exactly who they are on a broader panoply of economic issues including Wall Street regulation and public employees. As 2016 grows nearer, and their presidential hopefuls begin openly maneuvering, Democrats must decide whether they want to be principally known as the party of Rahm Emanuel or the party of Elizabeth Warren…
“The real struggle within the Democratic Party is where you stand on income inequality and whether the government needs to be a part of fixing that problem,” said Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. “The demographics that the Democratic Party must attract are the people who need responsive government.”
Moderate Democrats counter that center-versus-left formulations are outdated — while making an emphatic case for pragmatism.

This dog and pony show with the d’s against bho is funny. The only reason any d would buck bho would be they are up for re-election and want funds and votes if they think they are sol? And I might add, the d’s have the blessings of bho/team if they do buck him or the other d’s!

Where have they all gone? Look around, all the same creeps are still in charge, nothing has changed, it only keeps getting worse.

This is the true challenge, and one that their narcissism and self-importance will ensure they never overcome. After Democrats chased out blue dogs and moderates en masse in 2004 and 2006, their party was of a laudable and compliant progressive purity, compared with the GOP, which still had (and still has) numerous moderates and others willing to pointlessly cross the aisle to work with a party that no longer has a bipartisan bloc sizable enough to find common ground with. Working with Democrats is no longer finding a bipartisan solution, it’s just plain working to pass the progressive agenda (at least more openly so than it always has been).
Purging worked well for Democrats politically because it made their voting bloc tight-knit and impenetrable to influence outside their self-imposed bubble, but most importantly, it made them consistent, which translated into electoral gains. Now that the Democratic Party has made sizable gains, the moderates have returned and they will shortly find themselves facing an identity crisis, as the progressives no longer hold complete sway over their rank-and-file party members. There will be struggle from within on which direction the party needs to go, whether it goes further to the left, or embraces a centrist populism to head the GOP off at the pass, as it were. If we’re going to capitalize, we need to purge when this identity crisis takes shape, as the minority party can’t afford to break ranks and side with the other team, especially when they’re warring over the identity of their own caucus.

Sometimes I think we forget about that. There is a species of Democrat known as DINOS. They tend to be as weak as our RINOS are.
Our problem is we never identify them and work them over like the Dems do to our weak links. It is not for show either. Every group and party has their weak links. The trouble with the GOP has been our weak links somehow ended up in leadership positions, whereas the democrats make sure their holy warriors have leadership positions.

Contrary to what the Democrats would like to believe they are not redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor but rather form our children’s generation to the present generation.
The money they are spending is not being generated by tax revenue but rather by debt.
The Bolsheviks and Mensheviks would be green with envy.
