State official to New York gun owners: Y’all come down to Texas
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has a message for New York gun owners: Come to Texas, and bring your guns with you.
“Texas is better than New York, and New York just gave us another excuse to say that,” Abbott, a Republican, said on Thursday, after ads extolling Texas appeared on several media websites. …
Abbott, a possible candidate for governor of Texas in next year’s election, used campaign money to buy ads on websites of news organizations in New York City and Albany.
One ad says in classic Western script: “WANTED: Law abiding New York gun owners seeking lower taxes and greater opportunities.”

Not so fast Nanny Bloomberg, you gotta stay.

Might want to rethink that. While they might be gun owners, most of them probably vote Dem.

I am rooting for Texas to secede. I will pack up everything I have and move there that day.

I am praying for Texas to s-e-c-e-d-e (F- Hot air censorship!), I’ll pack up everything I have and drive the Ford there that very day.

Better pass an ordinance that they have to leave their Yankee Leftist f-head politics in New York.

Real smart. Invite the blue plague to wash over your state like a swarm of surplus-draining locusts.

Add to the State Constitution a restriction that anyone who migrated from a place north of the Ohio River or West of Arizona can’t vote in the state for 10 years.

Not really. This invation is for New York residents who are law abiding gun owners. The locusts won’t come because they already believe Texas to be a hellish backwater, completely unihabitable by enlightened progressives such as theyselves.

Excellent idea. I’d also like to see some checkpoints at the Texas border for some kind of proof that they haven’t voted Democratic. I’m seeing wayyyy too many blue state plates and some with Obama stickers on them.

Not so fast. Living in the Peoples Republic of Austin, I can tell you libidiots are more than happy to move here in droves anyway. Dallas was full of them too. WHen they’re desperate enough for a dollar, they’ll hold their noses and move here.
We’re going to get flanked by progressive idiots in TX from both sides, by out of state migration on one side, and the booming Latino population on the other.

Agreed with others with your excellent idea which would be a useful deterrent to someone staying in their union hellhole just until their retirement years then moving someplace South merely to suck the better life out of it like many snowbird leeches (e.g. the Blabbermouth-Schultz voters) do in Florida.

You’re right, they do move here in large numbers to escape their own lefty utopias.
I disagree about the Latinos though. Out here in West Texas many Latinos are conservative and vote Republican. I went to a George Lopez show recently and the audience was about 98% Latino. When George started talking about his support of Obama, he was almost booed off the stage.

There are conservative pockets in many liberal states. Some of the examples are: Western New York, Western Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, etc…LOL notice a pattern here….
The real target of this ad is the major gun manufacturers who have operations New York and in New England.

I would prefer that the liberal New Yorkers stay put, or move to another state. Don’t want anymore libs here in Texas, please.
Although it might do the liberal New Yorkers some good for them to be exposed to us Texans. It would certainly kill off their misconceptions about Texans.

new hampshire would be a shorter move, and similar weather. if you’re into that sort of thing. no income tax, the Free State Project, Shall Issue carry permits..do I need to go on?
we need all the help we can get. last election they made it legal for out-of-state college students to vote as though they were residents. with predictable results.
they didn’t have to do anything else that residents do, like register their car or change their drivers license or pay taxes, but hey, let’s let ‘em vote here. sigh.
