White House releases letters written by children to Obama on gun control
Eight-year-old Grant from Maryland, writes the President, “there should be some changes in the law with guns. It’s a free country, but I recommend there needs be [sic] a limit with guns.”

Phony.
Pork-Chop on January 16, 2013 at 11:42 AM
Obama rubs himself in the blood of dead children. These letters were no doubt produced by liberal teachers who forced children to write them. Basically form letters written in crayon.
portlandon on January 16, 2013 at 11:45 AM
Shameless.
changer1701 on January 16, 2013 at 11:45 AM
If the liberal argument for more gun control is so convincing and fact based then why are they hiding behind children and standing on the graves of murdered children?
gwelf on January 16, 2013 at 11:46 AM
Yes, and I’m sure many kids are pro-free ice cream. Let’s make that happen too.

Any letter from the teenager in Texas who used an AR-15 to protect himself and his sister from a violent criminal?

Good Lt on January 16, 2013 at 11:47 AM
Ya had to know that in a gun fight Obama would hide behind little children.
29Victor on January 16, 2013 at 11:47 AM
I for one do not want the laws or policies of this country influenced by the opinions of little kids. Then again, an 8 year old would be an intellectual peer for a liberal.
Dr. Frank Enstine on January 16, 2013 at 11:48 AM
I guess it’s better than what would be put forth by his current batch of policy advisors. The absence of substantive ideas is better than bad policy.
blammm on January 16, 2013 at 11:48 AM
I wonder what the dead kids would write?
“Dear Parents: Why did you create gun-free zones out of our schools? And why didn’t you lazy, liberal neighbors get in the face of the woman who gave her whacked-out son access to her guns?”
OT: Good thing for Obama and Dems that aborted fetuses can’t write letters.
BuckeyeSam on January 16, 2013 at 11:48 AM
No, you got that all wrong. It’s the gun nuts using a pile of dead kids for political gain not the liberals.
Dr. Frank Enstine on January 16, 2013 at 11:49 AM
Pres. Obama and the Dept. of Justice stonewall Brian Terrys family to this very hour on the truth of Fast and Furious gun running done willfully by the ATF, condoned by the CIA, Sec. of State, and covered up by Pres. Obama’s Justice Dept.
If Pres. Obama seeks justice, he must come before jutice with clean hands..
His hands are far from clean.
APACHEWHOKNOWS on January 16, 2013 at 11:49 AM
Despicable, IMHO.
So, kids are now consultants on what constitutes good public policy? How about children heading working groups on the economy and foreign policy too? How about the Kids Commission on Federal Reserve Policy?
This isn’t about making good public policy, but to tug at people’s heartstrings.
Paul-Cincy on January 16, 2013 at 11:50 AM
I bet it was a mandatory school assignment that some teacher mandated her students to do and then the work product was conveniently forwarded onto her union bosses.
blammm on January 16, 2013 at 11:50 AM
Pres. Obama open border policy kills children daily.
The numbers of Mexican kids and children killed by the Fast and Furious gun running is unknown this very hour.
APACHEWHOKNOWS on January 16, 2013 at 11:51 AM
There is a reason they can’t vote.
rogerb on January 16, 2013 at 11:52 AM
If you rely on children to make your argument, your argument is childish.
Caiwyn on January 16, 2013 at 11:52 AM
Well, of course he does. Make ‘em sputter: Common-sense Media Control.

Who could possibly argue with the wisdom and deep thinking an 8 year old can put together.

If only unborn children could write letters…..
portlandon on January 16, 2013 at 11:53 AM
This is a country of adults… Not children…
Or is he going to accept their letters about their dietary demands…
Skywise on January 16, 2013 at 11:53 AM
Wow, Obama sure can move fast on things, can’t he?
Meanwhile…how’s that Benghazi investigation going…..?
JohnTant on January 16, 2013 at 11:54 AM
Also, I think we should be able to get a last name and current address of this Grant and any other children outed for this ploy. That way we can discriminate against them as being allowed to be friends with our children as well as future job opportunities.

The blurred line between the way the Obama regime operates and the Kim Yong-Uns, Putins, and Chavezes of the world keeps getting blurrier.

C’mon, you know he can’t comment on that investigation while it’s still ongoing.

It’s bad enough we have representatives in Congress with the mental capacity of second graders writing legislation. Do we really need actual second graders helping them?
Bruce MacMahon on January 16, 2013 at 11:56 AM
I wonder what young kids think about abortion?
And Obama spending them into penury?
gwelf on January 16, 2013 at 11:56 AM
This is what all this pandering to the opinions of children (“Let’s see who you’d elect president!” “What are your solutions to the problem of global warming?”) naturally leads to. I am really not interested in hearing the opinions of anyone who doesn’t even have a decade of life under his belt; of course, I’m not interested in the opinions of some people who have several decades of life under their belts–interestingly, for much the same reason.

I have no doubt that the writing of these letters was instigated by concerned Leftist activist teachers.

Maybe Fox News could ask the President if the kids are getting anything knocked off the enormous amount they already owe the government for saying the ‘right’ thing?

We should consult children for all important national policy decisions that involve infringing on rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.
Because SHUT UP IT’S FOR THE CHILDREN.

Alternate headline: White House ignores Constitution written by founders so Obama can confiscate guns.
I have a hatred as hot as a thousand burning suns for what this traitor is doing to our Republic.
THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES WAS PURPOSEFULLY WRITTEN TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS FROM MEN LIKE OBAMA.
turfmann on January 16, 2013 at 12:03 PM
This is the apotheosis of our “appearance is reality” culture as headed by our President Photo Op. The beginning of Obama’s 2nd term will be remembered as the time reality began to hit the fan.
Paul-Cincy on January 16, 2013 at 12:05 PM
So what. My child is very smart, reading and writing far above his age, but he’s also not mature or cognizant of many societal issues, much less thinking beyond his concrete understandings.
Just because my child or any other child – even if they’ve been affected by a tragedy or are empathetic to it – writes such letters condemning or praising something doesn’t mean I’ll give it any credence. Now, if I wanted to know their thoughts on childhood friendships or Dora the Explorer, then perhaps I’d listen.
This is classic, and yet the Dems and our public at large think this is acceptable as leverage and the Repubs will bow to it because they dare not lose any more power.

Kids are kinda stupid.
jdpaz on January 16, 2013 at 12:06 PM
Well, that confirms it. The “children” are in charge.
What a bunch of spineless cr*p.

Lots of clapping at Obama’s gun control “speech” on live TV now.

Question.
Will Obama wipe tear from eye in this speech?
