Former Detroit mob underboss: I know where Jimmy Hoffa is buried
Zerilli says he’s been frustrated over the decades to watch the FBI chase countless tips from publicity hounds seeking attention by saying they know Hoffa’s burial spot — rumors that have included locations around Detroit and the Meadowlands in New Jersey.
“All this speculation about where he is and he’s not,” Zerilli said. “They say he was in a meat grinder. It’s all baloney.”
The truth, Zerilli says, is that Hoffa never got very far from where he was last seen. He believes the union leader’s final resting place is about 20 miles north of the restaurant where he was last scene, in a field in northern Oakland County, Mich.
He was buried in a shallow grave and the plan was to move the body at another time, but Hoffa’s remains were never moved from the first spot where they were buried, Zerilli said.
“Once he was buried here he was buried and they let it go,” Zerilli said.

Wasn’t there a joke that, at the dedication of a new teamster’s building, the President honoured Hoffa saying “Jimmy Hoffa will always remain a cornerstone of this institution.”
Anyway, don’t we get these stories once or twice a year when someone claims, wrongly, to know where Hoffa is buried?

I’m picturing some guys out there thinking they’ll be famous if they find Hoffa’s remians. And this guy IDs a rough location.

Every so often, some aging former mob insider claims to know where Hoffa is buried. Then the FBI hits the supposed location with a backhoe and all we see is an aerial view of a big, empty hole in someone’s backyard. And nothing is ever found.

I grew up in Birmingham and was the same age as those chidren. Timothy King disappeared from a store we used to go to all the time. It haunts me to this day. Hoffa, on the other hand, no.
