David Cameron: Yep, my wife dresses me
If only Adam were the exception but I fear, increasingly, he’s the rule. According to one recent survey by men’s fashion website Style Pilot, two thirds of those interviewed admitted to letting their partners choose their clothes for them. And one of them – as he revealed last week at a Downing Street reception for the London men’s fashion collections – is the Prime Minister.
“When I go shopping my wife doesn’t allow me to look around the store at all. I am put in a changing room and things are passed to me like you would pass food to a prisoner,” David Cameron confessed. He went on to blame his wife for the same blue shirt he’s always photographed in on holiday. “It’s not me, it’s Samantha,” he claimed.

Um, what’s wrong with the wife choosing is clothes. Women have better fashion sense. Single men tend to be the worst dressers.

At least it’s not John Malan </Milwaukee_reference>

I don’t have any problem with this except that if it were reversed, and a powerful woman were to admit that her husband picked out her clothes, imagine the hue and cry.

P.S.
Not a fan of the shirt either. I can see why he has received criticism. LOL!

Yeaaaah…Cameron’s not alone here.
My not-for-primetime theory: women do generally have a more sophisticated sense of fashion than most men. However, there’s a real difference in how men with good fashion sense will dress a man and how women with good fashion sense will dress a man. Men tend to dress for simplicity and power, women tend to dress men to be “cute.”

Ok….I’ve never dressed a guy but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t dress him to be cute. No man is supposed to be cute! LOL!

Well, I guess that’s something we have in common.

Interesting. When I went to a costume party wearing a red fez and paisley ascot and a suit Oscar Wilde might have approved of, and kept an unlit cigarette hanging out of my mouth like a Parisian thug, a bunch of women told me quite seriously that I looked great and ought to dress that way all the time. When I went in flaming drag the next year… not so much.

Well, better Mrs. Cameron than, say, hiring the equivalent of Valerie Jarret to do it for you, Prime Minister.

Knew it, he always came off as a sissy.

My wife says that men can’t be trusted to dress themselves. Her proof? We drive a semi. Go to a truckstop, you can tell who has their wife with them, and who doesn’t.
