Ed Schultz: “We’ve never had a civilian stop a shooting”
Would it be a deterrent if, you know, say perpetrators know that there’s guns in the schools? How do we know they wouldn’t view that as a challenge? I mean, we got a goofy world out there. I’m just not convinced that packing a small firearm is the best defense or certainly not the best defense. You know, you want to make the best defense? Make the school a damn fortress. I mean, you could do that, I mean but, is that reasonable? Is that the right thing to do? Is it necessary? And so I’m just, is it nec-, haven’t we had enough school shootings where this is necessary? We’ve never had a civilian stop a shooting.

Most of those situations go unreported.
The reality is police respond,take reports,clean up, and count bodies.
Guns in the hands of good people deter bad people.

I’d argue that every time a civilian has been put in a position to fire his weapon, it’s stopped something worse from happening.

I can’t help but think that A. he’s so sheltered in his Liberal cocoon, that real stories of civilians thwarting gun crimes never penetrate… or
B. he knows its true, but he knows he has to tell the big lie because his dugout will crucify him if he acknowledges the truth… Or
C. He’s just an EVIL lying phuctard batstage bent on the destruction of everything we hold dear and he knows he’s going to HELL, so why not take everyone else along?

You’re dead right. Go talk to small store owners in the inner cities. Many of them have to show their weapon to deter a crime. I just recently spoke with such a fellow in Columbus. He has had to do this on several occasions. Calling the police is often a waste of time. If no one is hurt or killed for the most part the police simply take a report.

I’ve noticed Ed doesn’t have a problem pheasant hunting here in SW ND, with GUNS.
I guess it’s OK for him to have guns bcs he just shoots pooor little helpless defenseless non-native birds that have been brought here by the Federal Government to encourage sportsmen to come here to use their bad evil guns.

He knows it is a lie, but his viewers will believe him. We laugh and say he only has a few viewers, but the truth is, he has thousands. Those people latch onto and believe his every word. Then they in turn spew it to their friends and post it all over their Facebook pages. I know some of these people, they can’t think for themselves. None of them fact check, but believe what they want to believe if it supports their argument.
This is what we are up against.

Since all of the mass shootings of recent decades except for the Gabby Giffords one occurred in gun-free zones, he should have more accurately said: No law-abiding gun carrying citizen has ever stopped a mass shooting (defined as a shooting that killed enough people to be counted because it wasn’t stopped) by illegally having a firearm in the gun free zone.

ROFL. This is how the left works. All the good arguments on the right the left simple says it never happened or they put false stories out then point to those stories as fact. It is exactly what they did in their quest to destory Palin. They are doing it now with guns. The left is placing all kinds of false stories saying hitler never disarmed the population do a goggle on hitler gun control and see what the left is up too. Then in a couple days they will point to those false stories and say see Hitler never disamred the population in fact my guess will be they will say hitler really armed the population and it was because of an armed population that hitler came to power. And if you don’t think it works simple look at the number of those on the right who think the stuff about Palin is true.

Maybe designating some areas “gun-free zones” is the real problem. If a would-be perpetrator did not know where the resistance is coming from or from whom, the brazenness and numbers of these mass attacks could be negligible and the damage much less.
