Inconvenient truths about Al Jazeera
Mr. Gore could have read the Middle East Quarterly profile titled “The Two Faces of Al Jazeera.” The network gets good marks for programming in areas outside the emir’s direct interests, but the article concludes that Al Jazeera continues “to inflame Arab resentments in its promotion of anti-Americanism, Sunni sectarianism and, in recent years, Islamism.”…
In 2008, Al Jazeera threw an on-air party for Samir Kuntar when he was released from an Israeli prison. Kuntar led a Palestine Liberation Front terrorist team that kidnapped an Israeli family in 1979. He shot the father and killed the 4-year-old daughter by smashing her head against rocks along the beach. In footage available on YouTube, Al Jazeera’s Beirut bureau chief hands Kuntar a scimitar to cut the celebratory cake and says: “This is the sword of the Arabs, Samir.”
In 2009, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, host of the network’s most popular Arabic-language show, “Shariah and Life,” said on air (also available on YouTube): “Oh, Allah, take this oppressive Jewish, Zionist band of people. Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them. Oh Allah, count their numbers and kill them, down to the very last one.” Perhaps Mr. Gore doesn’t have access to YouTube.

Al Gore is officially and eco terrorist as well as a radical Islamic terrorist, now.

Liberal apologists for al jazeera are all over CNN.
Seems they’ve never heard of Neville Chamberlain.

Perhaps Mr. Gore is an immoral, hypocritical scumbag who only cares about whether or not Al Jazeera’s huge check clears.
The only thing Mr. Gore doesn’t have access to is a conscience.

I’ve seen it on other websites as well. Liberals never pass up an opportunity to defend those that hate America.

The facts speak for themselves. al Jazeera values are close enough to Al Gore’s that he will happily take their money and give them a US cable network platform in return.
Glen Beck’s values, not so much.
You can say whatever you want about Glen Beck, but there is no comparison between him and a bunch of terrorist-supporting Islamist scum.

Rush had it right. Al Jazeera was not buying a cable channel, they were gaining an AlGore. That money changed hands, no biggie. So much money probably made AlGore believe he had a friend.
In the middle east, it may now be legend that, while Algore did not bow down to kiss the hand of the Sheik, he did stick his hand out to accept what was given. In middle east terms, they one upped him, and also got a good swift dig at the Jews.
I suspect AlGore has been thirsting for a little retribution. Don’t expect the guy to ever catch on

I think this is way off the mark. I read Al Jazeera most days because they are the only ones to report on Syria. People have this hold-over impression of AJ from the early years of the Iraq war, when in fact they are pretty strong proponents of Western values.
When Morsi made his decrees, AJ came down hard on him and they were very sympathetic to the more liberal protestors. They consistently report political unrest throughout much of the middle east (excluding the gulf). I have yet to see a sympathetic portrayal of Iran or jihadists in general. They only report on women’s rights issue outside of the middle east (e.g., their continuing series on rape India), but that’s got to get people in the ME reflecting on their own worse record. Look, their reporters in Syria are mostly western women.
There is a lot of socialist nonsense on their site, but not more than you would find in the Guardian and close to the NYT.
