Guns for me but not for thee
“I don’t know why a responsible gun owner is worried about whether a permit for a revolver is FOI-able or not,” he told reporters. In his view, it’s reasonable for people to want such information. “Maybe their kids are going over to Johnny Smith’s, and maybe they want to see whether they have guns in the house,” he suggested.
Richard Burgess, head of a local group that advocates for Second Amendment rights, says Dargan’s bill is nonsensical. Homeowners with rifles or shotguns don’t need permits in the state, he observed to a Hartford Courant reporter, so no one would know if those weapons were in a home. “So, really, you’re not getting a benefit out of it, and you’re only putting the gun owner in danger.”
Liberals such as Dargan don’t see anything wrong in publicly shaming those who legally own guns. When it comes to their own personal safety, though, they are far more sensitive.
Take the Journal News executives who decided to publish the gun map. The newspaper was so inundated with complaints that shortly after Christmas it took extra security precautions and hired security guards — who were armed — to patrol its Rockland County headquarters. The executives reported no incidents of any kind at the building, but they turned over at least two e-mails they found troubling. The local police said they didn’t find the e-mails threatening and concluded that they “did not constitute an offense.” The Journal News chose not to share with its readers the information that it had hired armed security guards.

Two of the most “bullet” proof arguments…one, who not to rob, and other, who to rob…
I remember a “chop shop” in L.A., where the organized ring would actually put out a shopping list of what they wanted, like the hood of a ’93 Impala, through the DMV, they had the list of registered care owners, and who had a ’93 Impala, so they would just go over ans steal the car or just the hood…it was a huge ring and went on for years.
Want a 45 handgun? Here let me see who has it, ahhh, yes, 719 Walnut street, has just what you need, plus it looks like a couple of 38′s…oh, and the neighbors, they have nothing so use the guns to rob them. They will just blame it on the neighbors who have/had the guns…

They aren’t shamed, idiot.

Btw, I was calling Dargan the idiot not the author.

I’ve been referring my my liberal friends as Liberal/hypocrite. It really pisses them off. Especially when they ask for proof and I point out their Facebook friends list it 99% white.

Yup and cry that if everyone didn’t have guns they wouldn’t have been targeted. Everyone must be equally unarmed to spread out the risk.

Stupid people always have to make things in life so complicated. If you’re so concerned if Johnny Smith has a gun, why not simply ASK Johnny if he does and if he keeps it locked up.

Geraldo Rivera said pretty much the same thing when the Journal News published “The Map.”
Hey Geraldo, you leftist douche, did you ever think of just asking the parents of your kids’ friends if they have guns in the house?

Or call and ask homeowner(s) if there are any. That would much better since publishing CCW permit info doesn’t fully cover the bases on guns in the home, because there could be a rifle there or an illegal gun there and it’s false advertising (iwo, fraudulant) to suggest publishing the list of CCW holders is a remedy to the information-wanters concerns.
And when they are calling they can also reassure themselves of the concern that an adult will be there, that the homeowner has functional locks on their doors and has the ability and knowledge on how to summon the police or ambulance or firefighters in case of accident or danger.

In a liberal’s mind, owning a gun is so horrible that nobody would admit to it.
