Rand Paul: I’m thinking about a presidential bid
Sen. Rand Paul, heir to his father Rep. Ron Paul’s political establishment and following, said Friday that he is thinking about running for president, declaring that only a “libertarian-Republican” can unite the GOP.
Speaking on “The Andrea Tantaros Show with Jason Mattera,” which debuted this week, the Kentucky Republican said that while he hasn’t ruled a presidential run in 2016 in or out, the GOP is going to have to turn to somebody like him to win enough voters to beat a Democrat.
“We are going to have to have somebody a little bit different than we’ve had in the past,” he told Tantaros on the show that replaced the Laura Ingraham Show on the Talk Radio Network. “Someone who can appeal to people in New England and on the West Coast. Someone who has a little more of a libertarian-Republican approach, I think, would have a better chance with independents and moderates.

Aah, but in the ‘Height/Hair/Handedness formula for success, he’s not balding and is a lefty. Two out of three ain’t bad.
Fun fact: Nobody since Gen. Eisenhower has been elected President without at least one daughter. Sorry, Mr. Romney…and the star of My Three Sons, Rand Paul.

I don’t understand what’s wrong. With his foreign policy. Why can’t we just mind our own business? Why can’t we stop redistributing our money to foreign countries? Why can’t we ask foreign countries to protect themselves? I did 3 tours in Iraq as a marine. Not one American life was worth their “democracy”. Lets try protecting our own border.

Lol…like the ” no president since FDR has been elected with such a high unemployment rate.” These little superstitions are ignorant.

For the same reason we don’t automatically just let every neighbor protect themselves when gangs or poverty threaten them. Especially if we’ve partnered with them, developed together and become partially dependent on one another.
I agree that we should pull back and let most Islamist nations rot in their own filth and let Europe sink or swim. But when Obama lets Israel, Jordan and Gulf States fall, the world will find security in alliances and economic cooperation with our rivals and enemies. We will be economically and militarily weaker, we’ll be in range of 3rd world WMD, and we’ll rot further from within. There is no more safety in just protecting the borders of our nation than there is just protecting the border of our yards.

Time will tell who the man is. We pretty much know nothing of him as far as substance is concerned.
