We could start by attaching a penalty to politicians who knowingly and willfully violate their oath of office.

Of course it would be an offense that’s hard to prove, but at least it would be a start.

The government can still make good on it’s debt obligations by using incoming revenues.

If he blows through the debt ceiling, usurping the House’s authority, it will be a Constitutional crisis. The House should initiate impeachment proceedings, with a view toward making the 2014 elections a referendum on maintaining Constitutional government.

Is that crazy, or what.

Where do you get these “experts.” Don’t they know that the Constitution gives the House of Representatives power over the purse? Since those gutless wonders kowtow to the senate, and our very special president, we need every obstacle we can find to at least slow all of them down. The interesting thing is that they are all falling into the journolistic/DNC meme that it is the fault of a few conservative “republicans” that won’t fall into line, but instead vote as their constituents demand.

I think we need a constitutional amendment that creates the crime of suborning the constitution. The proof being only the same for treason – two witnesses. The offenders would generally be politicians who are stupid or would vote for contributions, school teachers who don’t teach the constitution as is, but as what they think it should be, and judges that recreate it with their asinine rulings. If we keep on the way we are, I see a guy with a big fist coming along.

So what is the down side for Obama. The Senate will do nothing so he is immune. The majority voted for free stuff. If you watch the news the Democrats are panicked by cutting that off.

Cut off the money and see what they are afraid of.
