Wolf Blitzer to Ted Cruz: You can’t be overly idealistic
In one of his first interviews since being sworn into Congress earlier in the day, Cruz told CNN that he would not have voted in favor of the fiscal cliff compromise, calling it a “lousy deal.”
“Look, it wasn’t a perfect deal. Nobody was thrilled by it, but you got a deal with what’s doable in a divided Congress like we have,” Blitzer told him.
“The only reason this lousy deal happened is because President Obama and Harry Reid wanted to raise taxes on Americans,” Cruz responded. “I think that’s going to hurt growth and it’s going to hurt the middle class and working class–”
Interrupting, Wolf said: “But, remember, the president was reelected. Harry Reid is the majority leader — you’re in minority in the United States Senate. You got to deal with reality. You can’t just be — you can’t just be overly idealistic.”

Don’t you love it when so called media types start lecturing elected officials instead of just reporting the news? Wolf needs to just stfu about that “they won” stuff.

Good to see Cruz is standing his ground and he isn’t just a conservative during the campaign.

If I were Cruz I would have said, “Look Wolf, I’ll start taking advice from you the day you can finish with a positive amount of money on Celebrity Jeopardy.”

Wolf’s epic Celebrity Jeopardy performance. It was like the old SNL parodies of Celebrity Jeopardy.

“We won. Sit down and shut up”, he explained.

Overly idealisting? WTF is he talking about?
The stark reality is that the country is running $1T+ budget deficits and the fed is printing $1T a year. How long will this last? No one knows, but when it ends, it’ll end badly. At which point Wolf will ask, “Why didn’t you deal with reality?”

I’m sorry, Wolf.
I was under the impression that you were a disinterested reporter of facts and that it wasn’t really your job to advise Republicans not to do what they were elected to do “because DEMOCRATS.”

Hey Wolfie… if you’re not going to behave like a journalist, then…
Gooooooooo f**k yourself.
And do it, today!

“I’m sorry Wolfe, but i was elected to support and defend the US Constitution from all enemies – foreign and domestic. I’m not going to go along to get along, that’s how we have $16.4 trillion of national debt, that’s how we get into endless wars, and take money from individual American taxpayers and give it to foreign countries, corporations and special . The CBO believes that within the next decade, if we continue on this path, our largest expense is going to be the interest for our national debt – larger than entitlement spending and larger than DOD spending. Our country is going to collapse if we dont’ stop.”

Wolf, since when is it being overly idealistic to want to avoid financial disaster for the United States of America?
blink on January 4, 2013 at 1:19 PM
Don’t cede the moral high ground. Can’t be as ideological as the President? As Piers Morgan? As Harry Reid? As Nancy Peolsi? As news blathering types? Is it ideological to want to give your following generations better and solvent lives? Is it ideological to oppose dictatorially wielded power? Is it ideological to demand expense planning and a national budget? Is it ideological to demand an end to lawlessness and unconstitutionality?
Chattering fool. The faster we sideline these idiot Democrat mouthpieces the better.
