The loonie leftists deluded themselves long before they pulled the wool over the world. My mother considered herself a prolife conservative feminist long before anyone had ever heard of Sarah Palin. In her view, as a mother who had been single and needed to work, a Christian and a nurse, how could she not? The problem with liberal “feminists” who think that killing the unborn is acceptable is that they think they’re “god”. That problem however crosses many ideological boundaries, but seems to find a home among those “liberally” unhindered by such thinking as standards and absolutes or an ultimate authority and creator.

Radical feminism, like radical Islam, taints the very thing they are trying to achieve and give the entire movement a very bad name. If they want to have any more progress, they need to change their names and adopt a reasonable platform. Equal rights? Sure. Equal pay? No problem. Equal access? Where it makes sense (I’m not sure I want a female reporter in a male locker room right after a game). All sex, even consensual sex between willing partners is ‘rape’? Sorry, you’re an idiot.

You would think that feminists should be more pro-life as they ought to be on the side of the woman taking responsibility for her actions. However, feminists in the modern sense are really all about creating a new class of government dependents than they are about fostering female equality. “Don’t worry, little girl, papa guvmint is here to take care of you!” It’s a rather nauseating case of paternalism in action, actually.

I personally am neither pro-life nor pro-choice (I take more of the libertarian stance that I can’t make choices for you regardless of whether I approve of the choice being made or not.) but I just wish that the pro choice crowd would have the intellectual honesty to admit that why yes, they are essentially taking a life.

If it was really about equality, they would treat men and women equal regardless of what set of reproductive equipment you were issued at birth, but instead we’re treated as walking vajayjays.

Depends on how you define “feminism.” The left has been redefining words for a long time now. To them you cannot be pro-life and a feminist because “feminism” is, by definition “pro-abortion.” And that’s about it.
