Since the election loss? I’ve been listening to this “real conservative” talk since when? ’07? Heck yes, I’d vote for a conservative. But if the “real conservative” (a faceless ideal) can’t even seem to win the GOP, then forget about it and start dealing with the real world.

If you remember, I was with you before when it came to having a unified GOP front. Then, Boehner, who has never been a strong leader, was more lackluster than usual and embarrassed himself with his inept and stupid handling of “Plan B”.

He beclowned himself, does not inspire confidence, and should be replaced – saying so has nothing to do with “shooting someone/anyone”.

I know, but I thought I read somewhere that the speaker doesn’t need to be a member of congress.

The speaker doesn’t but neither does he need a majority of his own party to give him the speakership, just a majority of the House. Pelosi, if it is in her interest, can release enough of her caucus to vote for Boehner that he won’t need the relatively small number of insurgents from his own party who will vote against him.

That is more likely to happen that an outsider getting the job.

Boehner is not going anywhere.
