3rd solution: go up to the address bar, erase everything after “hotair.com/” and tack on “login” so it looks like this:

hotair.com/login

I often encounter the same problem and then I have to open a new tab and type “login” to bring up the log-in page, then refresh the page I want to comment on.

That’s easier than trying to get someone to fix the problem.

The people have the right to debate whether the Federal Government can be allowed to kick the can of yearly deficits down the road at every opportunity by distracting attention with meaningless tax tweaks or manufactured last minute crises.

The people have a right to debate whether successive generations of Americans can continue to saddle the following generations with debt by spending more money than we collect in taxes, year in and year out.

And the people have the right to debate and decide the issue of a balanced budget requirement in the Constitution where they live, away from Washington and unhindered by the machinations of the same people who decide the taxes and spending, can’t and won’t balance a budget, but are more than happy issue promises, never kept, that they will, next year or in ten years.

It should be added to the debt ceiling bill. Here’s one that can be added, though I’d anticipate shenanigans with Article 5 by adding that the waivered funding be kept strictly separate from the standard budget, strictly military in spending and dispensed through the operations of the Defense Department.

I laugh because I agree with you, and liked your phrasing (one slight difference I have with you was that “spend” instead of tax” come to my mind when I first heard his comments.)
