Coming soon: Three more fiscal cliffs
3. Continuing Budget Resolution: The federal government works on a fiscal year that starts every Oct. 1. Problem is it has been years since it actually enacted a real budget on time.
There’s a process for enacting a budget: Congressional committees are supposed to hold hearings. Experts and interested parties testify about proposals. Lawmakers deliberate over the right spending levels for each federal agency and then roll it all up into a budget.
But Congress rarely ends up following that process. Instead, it usually passes short-term “continuing resolutions,” which is fancy way of saying “Band Aid solution.”
Deadline: The current continuing resolution expires on March 27.

This is our future way of life – the new normal. We are going to be fighting over money and resources from now on – so get used to it.
Government has made far, far more promises than it can possibly keep. There isn’t enough money from ‘rich’ people to cover this off. Raising taxes on the rich (ie productive, creative, inventive people) will drive them away or discourage them from trying too hard, thus reducing the ‘pie’ that can be split.
Now that government is tasked with fulfulling all our need and all our deams, we are going to be fighting with each other over the limited resources. A way of life.
I blame the voters even more than the politians. The government reflects their ignorance and greed.

Reap what you sow, Barky voters, this is what you wanted and you deserve every last particle.
Just remember: electricity comes from the wall socket and food comes from the grocery store.

It will have to get much worse before it comes to their attention. And then what – riots for more free stuff?

Budget? What’s a budget? US hasn’t had a budget for 3+ years. The corrupt Harry Reid doesn’t even bring up budgets for a vote.

Plan on it. Those goofy teachers unions in Wisconsin were drawing chalk outlines of bodies on sidewalks over having to pay some of the cost of their healthcare. What do you think will happen when the moochers realize that the ‘good deal’ is ending?

Exactly. One of the possible outcomes of our folly is crowds of protestors literally being beaten into submission and sent limping home to pay what they’re told to pay. And one of the OTHER possibilities is outright chaos.

Is it wrong of me to daydream about this?

They wont give a damn until it interrupts the power supply to their xbox or a loaf of bread does actually cost a wheel barrel of money and by then it’ll be too late.
