Boehner: No decision yet on whether House GOP will accept Senate bill
In a joint statement late Monday, House GOP leaders promised to keep their commitment to act on the measure if it passes the Senate. But they say they won’t decide whether to accept the measure or to amend it and send it back to the Senate until lawmakers and their constituents have a chance to review the legislation.

I hope they vote NO.
I was strongly supportive of a deal that kept my taxes from going up but now, in spite of the personal financial pain it will cause, I would prefer for us to go over the cliff.
Why? Because it’s about time we as a nation, but especially Liberals, were forced to face the bill for the size of government we demand. We cannot continue to spend more than we’re willing to tax. The longer we postpone the unavoidable day if reckoning the more damaging it will be. And it disgusts me that greedy Leftists demand more government for themselves and yet want to stick someone else with the tab.
Obama and the Democrats seem to believe that the GOP will take the blame for higher taxes, and they might, but once people are made to understand this is the price for the government they vote for, they will turn their anger toward the party of BIG government.

surely they can do better than $1 in cuts for $41 in tax increases… hold out for $1 in cuts for at least $100 in tax increases.. come on GOP, grow a pair!! /s

If I were him, I would say no vote on the Senate bill unless the Senate votes on the bill first passed in the house, the let the chips fall as they may.

It would be political suicide to reject this deal after it passed the Senate by such huge margins. We would be done as a national party.

What do you call it if it passes????

This bill will easily pass in the House. It was strongly bipartisan at the Senate. Theres no way Boehner can stop it. Its a done deal. Yeah, you may yell and rant, but I know that I’m right.

It should never have passed the Senate. Our government is run by a collection of idiots.

Where can I read this proposal for myself…on Drudge, the article says that Obama added new refundable tax credits to the mix…what are those? Are they new to us or new to the bill?
I am in favor of telling timmy to hold the withholding tables like they are until the fiscal cliff, I want real Tax Reform, new permanent tax rates, that don’t have to be Paid For. I want spending cuts.
Send all the other items in this bill thru the house and senate singly, and let the jerks vote on them item by item.
