Sadly, Matt Lewis is right, here. People don’t like the conservative message because they’re programmed to respond to promises of goodies and happiness and only really vote conservative when liberals go too far during a two-year cycle.

Still doesn’t mean that we should let them have what they want.

It wouldn’t even work short term. The Republicans control the House, gun control can’t pass without Republican support. If the Republicans support bigger government, higher taxes, gun control, raising the debt ceiling …what reason is there to vote for them? Marginally less supportive of government mandated health care? That doesn’t get my vote.

Unlikely. The people that reelected Obama aren’t the type to notice additional expenses unless they’re sudden and drastic. Delaying Obamacare expenses enables Democrats to muddy the issue. “Just imagine how much more you’d be paying without Obamacare”, they’ll say. Keep in mind we’re dealing with people that reelected a guy openly rooting for $10 gasoline.
