NRA president: The White House is excluding us from conversations about gun violence
An effort led by Vice President Joe Biden to find ways to reduce gun violence after the Connecticut school massacre so far has not included talking to the National Rifle Association, the president of the gun rights group said on Friday.
NRA President David Keene said neither Biden nor his staff has contacted the organization since President Barack Obama unveiled the effort on December 19.
Keene said he was not surprised, given Biden’s past support for new gun control laws. “He’s not even a friendly antagonist,” Keene told Reuters in an interview.

Why is that surprising? Their eventual goal is the elimination of the 2nd Amendment. Why would they invite a pro-2nd Amendment organization?

The Obysmal administration relies on monologue, not dialogue.

I’m sure Biden will declare that for the sake of the children, more individual rights must be abolished. It’s the liberal way.

Along with every other single right we have. From speech to picking our own toilet paper. Just a matter of time before they want a certified record of our bowel movements to ensure we are eating our government certified diet.

Did everybody forget when the Democrats locked the Republicans out of the room when they were “crafting” the “stimulus” bill? This is SOP for them.

The goal is the elimination of the Republic altogether
When are people going to get it through their heads that this traitor is hellbent upon destroying our country?.

When these new gun control laws fail, the Socialist Democrats will begin the process of calling for a Constitutional Convention. If this happens and they get their way, our precious Bill of Rights will be in serious jeopardy.

There is no such thing as “gun” violence. Violence is violence whether it is with a open handed slap to an attack with a semi-automatic rifle.

What does the NRA have to add?
ernesto on December 30, 2012 at 9:44 AM
The NRA should check the huddled meetings at the Caribou Coffee across from the White House. That’s where the Obama admin prefers to meet with lobbyists. Get with the times, NRA!

Not anymore than Bibi Netanyahu when it comes to the Middle East, I suppose.

Democrats are pragmatists and masters of negotiation. They make it very simple.

I know some people understandably have issues with the NRA not being hardcore enough, but I think it’s really important right now that they get a lot of support from all of us, since they are the big dog in the fight. The other gun orgs are good too, and it’s very important to be a member of your state organization. Important laws are passed at the state level.
juliesa on December 30, 2012 at 10:15 AM
So they get blamed for everything and don’t have anything to add. You don’t suppose they have studied the issues at hand just a bit?/ As well they have 4.3 million members…. You’re such a d*ck…go f yourself.

The interests of 90 million gun owners. Maybe fewer, since some gun owners like the mega-wealthy in CA and Manhattan actually favor gun control for the masses. But still many millions of people who want to be at the table, not on the menu.
I know it’s crazy to think that The Won should have to listen to us, his bosses, so call me crazy.

Our rulers (so they think) aren’t having conversations about violence. They’re having conversations about schemes to take our guns that are politically doable without the peasants (that’s us) storming their redoubts and hanging them.

It represents the views of over four million American members, and millions more non-members. Obviously irrelevant.
Now a couple of thousand unbathed Occupy scum, now their views ARE relevant, right?
You are just a purblind fool, ernesto. Sad, really.
