Lawmakers fear voter backlash on fiscal cliff
“In the short term, Republicans are blamed more than Democrats,” Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kansas), the incoming chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, acknowledged. “I think in the long term, the political damage is to the president and to Democrats.”…
A number of Democrats — several of whom will face voters in 2014 — worry no one will be unscathed, including President Barack Obama. If taxes skyrocket and deep cuts take effect, Obama could preside over an eroding economy that could torpedo his second-term agenda as he tries to broaden his presidency to focus on issues like immigration reform and gun control. Voters, Democrats in the Senate fear, will take it out on them as well.
“I don’t blame people at home for wondering what in the heck is going on in the nation’s capital,” said Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), who is up for reelection in 2014. “It’s hard to explain. … I don’t think it looks good for either party.”…
“You gotta basically start over – a new Congress – and you’re going to have to have 60 votes in the Senate,” said Texas Sen. John Cornyn, the incoming GOP whip. “I think it’s all part of a plan to ultimately go off the cliff and have a whole bunch of new revenue and make it much harder to make tax rates low through the course of the year.”

Throw them all out, the entire lot of them.
I hope they dive over the cliff, heads first, Obama first, Boehner and Reid/Pelosi next, and so forth.
Wake up AmeriKa. YOU are scrooming yourself. It’s all self-inflicted and your children and grandchildren will pitchfork you, as they should, for justice and their future, to remedy what you have done to them.

Primary McConnell.
He is one of the most arrogant fools in DC.
Replace Boehner with a speaker, not from the congressional ranks. It’s not written anywhere that the speaker has to be from the House.
Send a strong message now. It’s already too late but the train is still in the station.

Figures.
“A number of Democrats worry that no one will be unscathed, even the one person who factually will be unscathed and whose scathed-ness factually does not matter at all.”
What did they say about Democrats after Obamacare? They load themselves up with C4, run into a crowd of Americans, and yell “Obama Akbar!”

There’s only one REAL way of doing that, so the question becomes are you willing to do it?

And that is all they care about, their own precious jobs, not “we the people”

Of course the dems are worried – their house of cards will collapse if we go over the cliff.
There is nothing in this life that is “free”.

Romney’s campaign was based on the idea that not losing was more important than winning. He never made effective attacks on Obama, while simultaneously taking the base for granted. It was a recipe for failure.

Part of me wishes we lose the house in ’14 just so those pigs can own everything. I doubt they’ll be held accountable, but at least the demise of our once great Nation will be expedited. Let it Burn

After Republicans go along with Obama’s tax hikes on the rich and pass amnesty next year, your wish will be granted.

Politico getting tired yet, carrying all that water for them?
Oh yeah, they are suddenly worried about a strategy that included getting exactly to this point, so voices like Politico could massage the propaganda monkey
