Hey, these assault weapons are based on a deadly fantasy
The guns, some of which come in camouflage and desert khaki, bristle with features useful only to an infantry soldier or a special-forces operative. A flash suppressor on the end of a barrel makes it possible to shoot at night without a blinding flare. Quick-change magazines let troops reload easily. Barrel shrouds allow precise control without fear of burns from a muzzle that grows hot after multiple rounds are fired. But now anyone can own these guns, and millions are in civilian hands.
“There is an allure to this weapon that makes it unusually attractive,” Scott Knight, former chairman of the International Chiefs of Police Firearms Committee, told USA Today, speaking of the Bushmaster rifles. “The way it looks, the way it handles — it screams assault weapon.”
The company’s catalog and ads show soldiers moving on patrol through jungles, Bushmasters at the ready. “When you need to perform under pressure, Bushmaster delivers,” says the advertising copy, superimposed over the silhouette of a soldier holding his helmet against the backdrop of an American flag. “Forces of opposition, bow down. You are single-handedly outnumbered,” said a 2010 catalog, peddling an assault rifle billed as “the ultimate military combat weapons system.” (Available to anyone for $2,500.)

That will be no problem when they need to make it so. That is the media’s job #1, to protect the public’s sacred right to think the way Democrats want them to think.
That is one of the main reasons Obama is so ham-handed – his errors never effect him, so he never learns. Before he finally leaves office, he is going to get a whole lot of Americans killed.

We don’t, light rail is much more practical. We also don’t need an actual economy, because government spending creates more jobs than the private sector. Just tax the government jobs to pay their wages, and print money to make up the difference. We don’t need farms either, because that takes land away from the environment, which is better for the planet. We don’t need to drill for oil, because the Middle East and South America will do it for us, and their (relative lack of) environmental regulations don’t affect the planet, because they’re not us.

After all a Democrat President named Kennedy used it to get America to the moon, a Democrat President named Clinton used it to start his non-UN-sanctioned War of Choice in Eastern Europe, and our current Dear Leader is using it right now in the form of drone strikes-in fact, many times more drone strikes than his Republican predecessor.

1. Bush inherited the 9/11 attacks from Democrat President Bill Clinton, on whose watch bin Laden wanted the attacks to happen. bin Laden said so himself after the attacks.
Please tell us again exactly how you would have had Bush prevent those attacks from happening, in a manner that you and your fellow Democrats would approve of.
2. Your 6600+ number includes the numbers for the last 4 years. I wasn’t aware that Bush served a third term.
3. In the 8 years that Democrat Bill Clinton was Commander in Chief, more US service people died in non combat (training mishaps, traffic accidents, etc) than have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Where was your concern for them?
