Mystery Science Theater 3000′s worst movie of all time is…
2. Batman and Robin (27,929 votes)
Here’s a fun thing to do: 1) Watch Batman and Robin. 2) Think about the fact that the huge Teutonic idiot stumbling around in a metal costume making horrible “cold” puns was elected Governor of the most populous and wealthy state in America — twice! 3) Move to an abandoned oil derrick in the Atlantic ocean and start your own country.

Don’t you be talkin’ ’bout Raul Julia! He not only let William Hurt walk off with the Oscar for Kiss of the Spider Woman, but he stole the show as Gomez in the Addams Family movies.
Then again, I feel tempted to check out your “stinker”.

Jack, why aren’t “Trancers” and “Dollman vs. Demonic Toys” on the list, too?
j/k!

I thought it was, at least according to MST3K, Manos: The Hands of Fate. (Available at Amazon as a streaming vid)

Wait just a minute now–if Mrs. Hawkdriver is not her real name, then Hawkdriver must not be your real name. What kind of underhanded, mind-tricky games are you playing here?
Concerned,

I got no problem with most of the list, but Eragon and Spiderman 3 are good films.
itsnotaboutme on December 29, 2012 at 6:43 AM
They should replace those with Santa Clause vs the Martians (self-explanatory) and Inherit the Wind (everything in the supposedly historical film is backwards, such as genuinely nice guys portrayed as evil & vice versa).

LOL
Should be Claus, not Clause.
And I should have written grouchy, not evil.
Forgive me; it’s 4:48am on a Saturday.
itsnotaboutme on December 29, 2012 at 6:49 AM
Episode I should be taken off the list. X-Men: The Last Stand should be number 1, and Spider-Man 3 is right where it belongs.

God I loved that show. Sidehackers!

I shudder to think that there are 20-plus films they think are worse than Manos: The Hands of Fate.

Ator the Invincible 2 AKA The Blade Master AKA Ator AKA the Blade Master AKA Cave Dwellers AKA The Return. So bad it’s worth watching.

A lot of films on this list are over-hyped films people love to hate, bad sequels, and bad efforts by well-known artists. Manos is easily worse than any of the well-known films topping the list… I would trust the MST3K staffers more on this subject.

No mention of Pod People? Really?
“Trumpy, you can do stupid things!”

What, no Prospero’s Books?
You’ve got Shakespeare as the base and starring Sir John Gielgud and you wind up with an unwatchable mess. Much worse than a movie based upon a video game (which you expect to be bad.)

Same here. Many years ago I began drifting away from movies for the very same reason. Then it became a deliberate choice to stop supporting anything coming out of Hollywood. The only way I might ever see a movie is if it shows up on TV…and even that’s usually only tuned to the news.

Which is funny, right? Between the two of us, her reputation is the only one worth protecting.
hawkdriver on December 29, 2012 at 9:43 AM
This is a Canadian-produced PBS TV movie (sort of; it was shot on tape, not on film), so I don’t think it qualifies for this list. It is pretty bad, though. I’m sure Raul did this one strictly to pay some bills.

I loved the fly on his forehead throughout the scene!
If you can find an uncut version, the movie is seriously redeemed by a nekid Tanya Roberts.
GWB on December 29, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Oh, I wouldn’t say that. You’re pretty terrific.
DrMagnolias on December 29, 2012 at 10:50 AM
I’m am currently watching Hackers, while reading this thread. Truly a bad movie worthy of this list.
