Even a five-point swing wouldn’t have saved Romney
In fact, if Mitt Romney had managed to swing the margin by 5 points in his direction in each and every state, he still would have lost (272 electoral votes to 266).
Nor was this because President Obama turned out massive numbers of voters to pull the level for him. Per capita, Obama actually got 9 percent fewer votes than in 2008 — a rather precipitous decline. If Romney had simply improved upon John McCain’s performance by that same amount — if he had gotten 9 percent more votes per capita than McCain did — he’d now be preparing to move into the White House. Instead, Romney got 2 percent fewer votes per capita than McCain, a result so bad that it would have seemed almost unfathomable before Election Day.

Tell us more about how Romney is going to sweep to an easy victory over Obama. Your opinion is of such sterling value.

No, I am observant and understand connections. Apparently you just look at things as if they all individually live in their own little vacuums.

Doubt you’ll see this but too easy:
Here you start with:
Okay. Then you do this:
People like me? Palinistas who were holding out for Palin and then supported Cain and Gingrich during the primaries?
What? That is simply incoherent.
And a misrepresentation.
But for more incoherence:
And how in the world are we supposed to do this? We weren’t on his campaign. How in the world do you “push someone to the right” during a campaign?
*mind boggled*
And yet MORE incoherence:
Yes. I tell all fellow Obama voters to FOAD. No really. Think about that for a minute. I told an Obama voter to FOAD (as a digression I think all Obama voters should be told to FOAD early and often).
But somehow I am an Obama voter in disguise.
If I were really a s00per sleeper 0bama voter then would I be shrieking FOAD at some moron that readily and happily admits to being an Obama voter?
Geez, bud. Think. That just makes no sense.
Thanks for the laughs though.

You do like I did. A few letters telling him your not going to support him running as liberal light is not enough to effect him.
Hundreds of thousands on the other hand would change things.
What Romney needed to do was EMBRACE in absolute totality at least one rock solid conservative agenda item and stick to it.
Having people tell those trying to push him in that direction to shut the f^ck up and gt the hell in line does not get Romney there. It leaves him the impression that the failing job of selling he was doing was going splendidly.
My personal choice was a Cut Cap and Balanced Budget Amendment pledge made to the level of “Read My Lips, No New Taxes!” With something that left his potential second term in jeopardy if he did not deliver, people would have had something to use to convince their friends and relatives to get out and vote.
Seems we went through a similar path. Bachmann, Perry, Newt for me. I just ended mine at Newt. I held out hope for Palin, but I did not push for her. I think she would have done wonders for the senate if she were the top of the ticket.
Looks to me though that Obama may end up being a better choice for 2013 through 2016. Romney most certainly would have made it hard on Republicans on this Gun Control push that is coming. Remember all the awesome conservative bills Bush pushed through Congress? I do not. I do not consider temporary tax cuts to be conservative just in case you plan to use the weapon that Obama currently is using to beat the hell out of Republicans with. Conservatives look to the future and unintended consequences are rare events for their policies, not so much for progressive lights policies.
